Lol, I found one of these in ipswich in a pond. I picked it up, and Some aussie guy walked past and he said... Your Crazy! If he bites you will know all about it! And I looked underneath and saw a fucking huge fang like thing... Apparently they suck the blood from other insects.
Yeah, everyone says they have a nasty bite, but I've never heard of anyone being bitten by one. And I've heard of loads of people who have picked them up as well. As ugly as they look, perhaps they really do have a heart of gold. hehe!
@bobinozdotcom my brother worked in a winery and one crawled out of the chanel and was making a move across the ground he cought it for me i then continues to feed it things like frogs and other living creatures the bite paralizes its food and then it sucks everything out leaving the skin there awesome but then winter come along and the cold killed it :(
@TeddyboyNo1 Yes, I'd leave her alone too :-)

@Drhoz Ah, yes, glad you noticed that. Ahem, should be 5. Or millimetres. Bit of a mix up in my brain.

@dblthefist - They eat frogs? Not cute little green tree frogs? Other than that, sounds like a cool pet to keep.
