I think what some people seem to forget is that if Etta James hadn't sang the song in the first place, then Beyonce would have nothing to cover and therefore be compared to. Beyonce is clearly R&B, this is a jazz/blues standard. Whenever Beyonce sings At Last, she always sings it safe. Etta James, as you can see, has managed to change it up, and continue to keep the song as her own...Please download some music with depth on your iPod...
