WOW I had no idea it was so bad in Indy I lived there for many years ,I still have my brother his family and my son living there I now live in notheasten Kansas Thank You for sharing this with us
Wow... this is a great video of a horrible occurence. If that even makes sense. I thank God that no one lost their lives in all of this. My husband works in Chanute and we live in Indy, so he had to go down to Sedan and then up and over towards Fredonia to get to Chanute one day. Crazy, huh? I am praying for the flood victims!!
I grew up in Indy then went on to SW Christian University in OKC. I remember the flood of '61. This one appears to the "Mother of all Kansas Floods." My/our hearts and prayers goes out to all of you SEKAN's. I cannot even begin to comprehend this traumatic disaster. I know that through your "Bulldog" grit and guts and Faith you will make it! To the "shooter", this is one powerful video. Great work showing such a horrible event. God bless you and God bless each one of you!
Thanks for posting this video. I grew up in Indy and my parents and lots of friends still live there. My thoughts are with everyone there in the area. I'll look for your CD on Ebay.
I was born and raised in this beautiful town, and could not believe the devastation, and thank god no loss of life confirmed but I am also an animal lover and cannot forget about the horses and livestock,,although I now live in Los Angeles, I do still have famiy there,,God was watching over you all, and God Bless! I was to be on the highway on the 30th of June coming from Tulsa, Airport,,,and had an erie feeling and decided not to drive in,,,after I heard about Coffeyville ,,,
Wow,I used to live in Independence with my dad last year. It's kind of nice to see what is going on there, but it makes me worry about all my friends and family.
I grew up in Indy and now live in California, thanks for posting the video as I am worried about the hometown folks and how they are all doing! God Bless!!
Hi: I don't know where you live, but I think you can make it to the Little House just fine. I talked to the manager today (July 3), and she said she had visitors today. Hope to see you there! I'm a big "Laura" fan, too. If you get a chance, you also might want to check out Laura's last home in Mansfield, MO. She's buried there in the city cemetery, and there's a wonderful museum.
Thanks for posting this. We live in Independence and we drove around yesterday a bit and I couldn't believe my eyes. This gives an even better idea of just how severe and extensive the flooding is.
