  • Get serious, to really tell the tonal difference with a speaker you need to clean it up quite a bit. With all the dirt about all that can be detected is relative bass/brightness.

  • Eminence wins!!

  • 1 up for Eminence V12

  • and creamier, one more for Celestion

  • celestion G12K seems tighter

  • I vote Celestion.

  • Eminence sounds great!

  • The best way to tell which you like the best is compare the first 10 to 15 secs and then skip to 1:37

  • Hola! La verdad es que me ha gustado más como suena el Eminence. Me parece curioso que una marca que cuesta la mitad de dinero que un Celestion pueda sacar tan buenos sonidos.

    Un saludo!

  • Celestion has more tone and definition!!!

  • Eminence is warmer with more low mid girth and the Celestion has more grit and bite (top end clarity). This is neither here nor there - it is what you like. Both great speakers here I think.

  • celestion seems more scooped if you ask me. solution? use them both! or turn up the mids using that celestion or the highs using the eminence. either way though, your speaker dictates your tone infinatly more than the 3 little knobs. i'm thinking the eminence was better for everything but the metal riff because i could see the celestion sound on an album fitting in better. but i like the tone of the eminence much more. it's less sharp, and has more tone.

  • @Killyoudeadnstuff I'm definitely thinking of putting either 2 Eminence v12's and 2 Celestion G12K-100's (as seen here) in a cab, or 2 Eminence v12's and 2 Celestion v30's in one cab.

  • @ninja609 not a bad idea. have you heard of the eminence governor? something to look into as apposed to the v 30, dunno whether you'd like it more or not but it could be worth looking into. i'm just an eminence fan haha, they're all good though. i wonder if it would be a good idea to do one of all 4 of the mentioned speakers in a cab?

  • @Killyoudeadnstuff I'll check it out. I could always give them a try, once I have the funds. I'm open to options, I haven't decided 100% yet

  • Celestion g12k-100

  • gimmee a greenback babay!

  • Celestion has more definition and 'have that you mutha' your ears are toast. The tones get lost a little with the Eminence which sounds more mellow.

  • Emminence all the way. Much warmer and smoother!

  • The Eminence seems to have more TONE - less rasp. Both sound good - but the initial change spot in the video really depicts the difference and its big!

My ears like the eminence - thanks for posting.....

  • Legend

  • Celestion has the edge musically in my view.

However, either would sound good live on stage - so many variables!

  • We also have to remember that the amp volume is medium-low, so this would make a difference. Those k100's pushed sound different than at lower volumes. Just saying.

  • The Celestion has that High-Mid presence that makes it stand out like a sore thumb on stage. The Eminence is too scoop-y, All you'd hear in a live mix is mud.

  • They both sound good. I do like the k-100s as far as the celestion line goes. Focus on the difference in clarity at 1:17 for the V-128s, and 3:00 for the K-100s. To me, comparison after comparison, I am finding that Warehouse Guitar Speakers and Eminence Speakers beat the Celestion Speakers hands down. I prefer the V-128s in this comparison. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention how much more affordable Eminence and Warehouse Guitar Speakers are...in addition to sounding better?

  • if apples are apples why are you testing usa made against chinese made, the uk made celestions are way better. anyway i personaly preffer the dynamic range of the celestion over the muddy eminence.

  • Eminence speakers always sound like mud to me. Celestions are clear and loud and much more dynamic.

  • g12 is much more wider in range and responsive over picking.it wins

  • K100, and with a low pass filter,

  • Eh, the Eminence itself sounds distorted. I'd go for the K100

  • Looking for the fatter sounding speaker to replace my trebley-thin v30's! is this G12k100 the fattest one celestion has?

  • @Zhorellski Celestion makes alot of different speakers so that's hard to answer but check out a dudes' video on here called "Blackstar brings the BROOTZ"by flinginairos. He puts the K100's in all his amps and seems to really dig them and his amp demo with the celestions sounds killer! ;)

  • I usually don't like Eminence speakers but the g12K-100 is my least favorite celestion speaker so I'm going with Eminence here. It does sound better regardless.

  • both sound good.

  • Celestion sound is better... Eminence suffer of intermodulation.

  • V12 every time

  • celestions much better

  • @FREECHEESECOMPANY eminence better they dont even rip you off

  • k-100 sounds better

  • @grajdaninzz

    I'd go for the v128
