All beaches in Honduras are free, by Constitutional law, you can own a house on front beach but the beach is free to anyone. This is Roatan, Honduras, you all are welcome to visit Honduras. you can also visit Trujillo, Colon and visit the old castle build by the Spanish conquistadors, and see all that the Spanish left since Christopher Columbus last trip to Honduras, also from Roatan you can take a plane trip to the Mayas Ruins in Copan Ruinas. you all are invited to my country. Earthgoogle it.
This was very helpful! A few questions: was the chairlift ride free? Was there an entrance fee for the beach? Oh, and what was the significance of her ringing the bell at the end?

Where is the free beach? Did you walk or take a cab? Do you remember the name?

The charilift is not free. I think it was $5 for an all day pass. The beach is free.
The bell at the end had a dinger shaped like a penis. Fun to watch the girls pull on them.
