You know, you'll use LESS ammo if you go for the LIMBS. Thats how Dead Space is unique, because I've never played a game where you shoot there limbs and they die easier. Unlike the headshot in COD

What I think is weird is because of the speed download, damage increasing download, and the Tank suit... makes the game very unbalanced! The Tank suit is much much better than any other suit, you can now fire quickly and do much more damage! It's like they wanted the hardest difficulty to be a cakewalk! And the fact that you could get these right from the start makes it weird.

@dessan18 No Isaac never recieved military training his father was constantly away in space mining and Isaac wanted to follow in his footsteps so he studied to become an engineer but had to settle for a second class university because his mother spent all the college money on advancing in the ranks of the Unitologists which explains isaacs hatred of them, Isaac was not like a soldier in DS1 he was an engineer who had to adapt to survive which he did

One thing I hate is when people talk about ideas for this game and the new guns and stuff that Isaac should get, loads of people are saying give him a shotgun give him a lancer from gears. People seem to forget he's not a marine or a soldier or a Spartan he's an engineer, he uses engineering tools and he's not trained in fighting he's scared for his life. He's just trying to survive not kick ass like master chief or Marcus fenix!

Plasma Cutter=A high energy mineral cutter

Ripper=An industrial saw used for cutting through rocks

Line Gun=a bigger version of the plasma cutter used for cutting rocks and ore

Flamethrower=a hydrazine torch

Contact Beam=designed to pound and soften hard, raw minerals into smaller pieces.

Pulse Rifle=a military-grade assault rifle (the only non mining weapon)

Force Gun=provides blasting power beyond conventional explosive charges(your shotgun)

exactly, He's not trained for combat, he's trained to repair the ship and to hack things that need to be. Plus, if he had a shotgun, dead space would be too easy since most necromorphs have melee related attacks.

not really happy with the dlc for the game. The only thing that caught my attention was the big gun pack but i see no difference between the steam punk force gun (the gun it comes with) and the actual force gun. I see no reason to buy any of these so i went ahead and bought a dead space t-shirt and the interactive ishimura ship for my avatar :D

co op with WHOM? having another protagonist to fill that spot (and consequently be forced to survive the series) defeats the point entirely. the second they add co op it becomes a 3rd person action shooter. plus a HUD-less 3rd person horror wouldnt look too great with splitscreen
