  • Technically, the first Democratic US President was Andrew Jackson. Jefferson was a Democratic-Republican, the party of which was originally opposed to ratifying the Constitution. The Democrats didn't split off the Democratic-Republicans until much later.

  • Well... technically... a quill is a bit more that a plain chicken feather, but it's Sesame Street, so it's all good.
