  • Inside the Actors Studio - Charlize Theron

  • Theron is a supporter of animal rights and active member of PETA.

  • shes pretty, but shes a bitch !...........this bitch thinks her own shit doesnt stink !

  • @ronnied828 I agree. Evidence of that is how nice her costars say she is, and the dayplayers she's hugged while filming Young Adult, the small african children and women she's helped out and started a foundation for, the animals she fights for(particularly the dogs in puppy mills). When you think about it, how can anyone be such a bitch?

  • those comments are disgusting and ill informed...why dont you just please fade away

  • Exactly, and what's the proof of that: 2 thousand miles away and 20 years later another ghetto nigger, Obama, fucked up America in half the time it took the blacks in South Africa to fuck up South Africa. It's a pathetic statement about niggers really, can't even run a McDonalds but with affirmative action and a little social climbing they can run a country or two ....into the dirt, that is.

  • Also, if we want to stop violence against women, we should point the finger at Saudi Arabia, where men use religion/mythology/superstition, Islam as a pathetic excuse to beat their wives. And if the U.N. wants to stop slavery, it should stop religion, because religion is mythology and superstition, which is slavery of the brain because it prevents people from being able to think in a reasonable and critical manner. Questioning authority is healthy for the human condition, so question religion.

  • Shut the fuck up you obnoxious loud mouth prick!

  • Why do you say this? Saudi Arabia is full of men who are afraid of women. They don't like women walking freely and showing skin because that gives women a sense of freedom and liberation. They don't want women to have that freedom because they know that if they get that freedom, then they will like it, and thus demand more freedom. These men don't want them to get more and more freedom because they are afraid of women who have power over them.

  • I think that throughout history in many parts of the world, men have been afraid of female empowerment because of sex. The more skin a woman shows, the easier it is to be promiscuous. This leads to women having power over men, because they can seduce them into having sex with them, and this makes women happy because they have control over their sex lives.

  • Oh, yeah, we HATE scantily clad women eager to have sex! :-DDDDD

  • A woman who is covered up shows that her husband or boyfriend is insecure, that is, he is scared of the prospect of her being promiscuous. So this irrational fear makes the husband or boyfriend controlling and not trusting of the woman's sexuality around other men. Thus the husband or boyfriend now has power over the woman and her sex life. This is not equality and fair treatment for women. These men are cowards.

  • And when the woman tries to have an affair with another man because she resents her husband, if the husband finds out about this, he would beat her. They cover up their women so the world will not see all of their bruises and scars because they are afraid that other men will defend the woman and beat up the husband. These men are cowards who disrespect the nude and natural female body. These men cover up women because they are insecure.

  • i didn't understand a word of what u just said cuz what u r saying is Stupid

do u live in Saudi Arabia to say that ?? NO !

u live in usa so don't talk about a country u even don't live in it and know no thing about it OK ?

  • She is pretty. Violence, whether against women, children or men is ridiculous. Fuck those oil companies who keep making profits from the war in Iraq. U.S. troops kill innocent civilians, and when they rebel to avenge their family members, they are labeled as "insurgents." This world is so fucked up. George W. Bush told the U.N. to go fuck itself when he went into Iraq. Bush is the 21st century Hitler. He and his administration could have prevented 9/11, but they ignored all the warnings. Asses!

  • what a cow :P

  • she looks like eileen from the monster to much. gets some sleep charlize, you look tired..

  • she looks gorgeous

  • why is she so fucking tall, hahaha... UN is a joke and she is part of that joke

  • funny thing is the United Nations are made of the countries that fuck up third world countries. bunch of posers. wake up people.

  • shes tall!

although shes 5 "9" but wearing 3 inch heels which makes her 6ft o_O

oh well every one there short anyway XD

  • No looks and no quality and trust me I can tell because I am a guy

  • wait i can tell because i am a woman.

she is GORGEOUS, AND i am a woman and more qualified to give a response. and i am straight. so i am objective.

  • Oh she learned English lol I was wondering why she said 'cingular' person in her little speech.

She speaks very well for not knowing the language and having to learn it when she got here!

  • You get in and make a difference. I think your great...

  • she is hawt!

  • 1. I am aware of her charity work, I was merely remarking on how far she's come in her career. 2. Trust me, the nudity in her earlier movies was not even close to being 'necessary for the story' nor did they reflect reality. They were pretty much manipulative nudity lol.

Which brings me back to my point, it's funny how some actresses make it, and others don't.

  • yeah she has talent and looks, star quality. others don't. simple as that. did you reflect on anything new? a lt of actresses uglier or whatever don't have her talent.

  • HAHA, yeah my bad, "monster". I had a brain fart. But I'm talking even before devil's advocate and all the rest. When I first saw her, she was doing 2 days in the valley and Reindeer Games, two of the worst flicks I had ever seen.

  • I've met actual people from S.A. and also she said herself that she puts on an American accent.

  • she speaks English the way she learned it, with an American accent. Besides, I still hear a hint of an accent on some words. What's the big deal anyway?

  • Good for her. On a separate note though, I hate how she uses an American accent in every aspect of life. I understand that she needs it for movie roles, but there are plenty of foreign actors who speak with a perfect American Accent for a role, and then loose it when they are done filming. She say "she's not selling out" and "needed it to survive in the business" but after winning an Oscar, you'd think that her survival was pretty much ensured.

  • watch her interivew with john ross. she explains her accent. she didnt speak english when she came here at all. she learned english in an american accent basically. she spoke africcaans in SA

  • It's so funny. Up until Monster's Ball, she was playing minor roles that required nudity. Now all of a sudden she's a legitimate actress. Crazy how things can change.

  • she's awesome..

  • wow that is so awesome

  • i love her eve more :D:D:D, say no to violence smoke and be happy

  • I think united nation should keep it is business on saving the poor and starving world, instead of bringing hollywood to another show off business for the stars, united nations, where is justice for those who are dying of war crimes, hungers, and wars... keep hollywood in hollywood, time for action and truth united nations. wake up

  • Well in some cases, contrary to popular belief, people pay attention and listen to "stars" that has something to say. So if a movie star, such as Charlize Theron has a positive outcome for such a thing, let it be. She's from South Africa, and I've remember her with a thick accent long ago, coming from South Africa to America, she's not just Hollywood material as you would think.

  • You know they can talk the talk, but come on lets walk the walk this time. I dont say you dont have point there I do agree with your comments, but more action from united nations are required now more then ever. using stars alone is not helping to solve the problem. some stars used it to gain more fame then to actually help the cause, just my opinion.

  • I think the attitude that celebrities should just retreat to their mansions and get rich and spend their riches on foolishness instead of getting involved and giving back is just a sign of jealousy. Like Paul Newman said, you shouldn't be disenfranchised as a citizen because you're in the acting profession. You should get involved and give back in the way you can.

  • Thanks for sharing your opinion, I respect your views, it is not that I dont agree with your comments, I think celebrities cant change nothing in this world, my point is United Nations needs to act to solve the problems of so many already known nation who suffer from hunger and misary since long, it Happy new year to you and all, to this planet, I wish for solutions and peace to humanity, and that justice and human rights will be powerful for all.

  • Can you imagine the goosebumpage while accepting ;) AMAZING ;)

  • Thanks for posting this! It's so wonderful to see that some celebrities do care about such sensitive issues...
