well it actually takes significant design and pressurising of a container in order to make a sparkler bomb most of the time sparkler bombs launch off as rockets anyway. Sparkler powder is not deigned to detonate. launching off the shoulder is completely safe. The day one of our sparkler rockets detonates i will eat every item of clothing that i own.

when sparklers are packed together tightly they tend to all light each other and instantaneous ignition of all sparklers occurs. the aluminium powder in the mixture brings the temperature as high as 4000 degrees Celsius this is high enough to create an incredible amount of gas expansion and general expansion of, well, everything. Use some aluminium foil to direct this expansion and you have thrust :)
yep it's as simple as bundling them up really tight wrapping them tightly in a couple of layers of alfoil to keep in the heat and then wrapping it in a couple of layers of tape to keep the whole thing tight then glazing it so it has slightly less friction when coming out of the tube. We use packing tape as a glaze over the masking tape we use to wrap them in because packing tape is nice and smooth.
Add Armstrong mixture and place it in a metalic shell then light it makes an actull RPG but its accuracy is a bit off unless u use JetFuel or RocketFuel for the Motor and make an nozzel to improve accurasy.

also you clearly have no idea what armstrong's mixture is. It's an explosive not a propellant. Using it as a propellant is stupid it can't even be used in gun bullets without having something added to slow the detonation. I handle lots of dangerous mixtures but even I'm not going to be that stupid. Armstrong's mixture is just far too dangerous.
it would be so much better if you had an end cap with a hole drilled for the wick. you would have to make sure that the rockets were loose though. also tail fins made out of cardboard or a similar material would have made it fly straight.
We may be 15 but I, (JJ) know chemistry in incredible depth for a 15 year old. believe me with the right chemicals I make my own rocket fuels that make incredibly powerful rockets (much better than most website recipes). This particular video was a cheap test. sparklers are cheap and therefore perfect for testing the function of the launcher and not the rockets. watch some of our future vids when they are on youtube in about 3 months and then call us amateurs.
hey dudes it doesn't matter how good you are at chemistry your still an amateur. you have nothing in place for safe testing of your dry fuels the " launcher " could it protect your head if a device was to flash inside the tube
or would it have a possible chance of being blown apart and taking your head with it
chemistry is one thing pressure systems and rockets are a different field take care little dudes .. I hope it works out well
ok let's add the fact that i'm good at physics too and that tube is bouble layered if our rocket design was for some reason to explode inside the tube then we should be fine. and saying that rockets aren't in the field of chemistry is wrong they fit into an equal balance of chemistry and physics. for this rocket launcher all the fuels are sparklers they don't need testing they come pre-made and we know they work. anyway, thanks for wishing us luck.
