  • You silly people... aren't you the ones that invented the "go make me a sandwich woman!", "you belong in the kitchen", and more jokes ? The concept of Hijab (cover hair and most the woman's body) in Islam is there to prevent men from using women as tools (see 99.9% of the western commercials these days, "tits or gtfo" right?). Over here in America, it's simple :

Cute girl = "I'll tap that bitch"

While ugly girls end up fat and depressed because of lack of interest from guys.

    Nice ideology peeps

  • I'm so proud of her!

  • great speech. now get back in the kitchen

  • great speech tawakul...

  • fuck nobel puppets!!!!

  • Great speech, now all she has to do is take that scarf off of her head and show the world that arabs are finally ready to join the 21st century.

  • @qualityrkc Did you listen to her speech at all? She's helping to liberate her country towards democracy. She's NOT risking her life in order to "show the world" anything. She's doing it for herself and for her people.

  • @42muslimah Its all a visard. How can she liberate anything if she doesnt even have the freedom to show her hair. These people will move from one form of tyranny to another more populous form of opression in the form of muslim law. There can be no victory for peace and freedom in arab countries until they do away with their primative traditions and begin to adapt to more modern social norms. Islam is their soft spot and it will continue to be used as a tool of oppression for generations to come.

  • @qualityrkc Don't be ignorant. A woman of her stature definitely has the freedom to show her hair but chooses not to because of her own religious beliefs. I have met many women that have been proud of covering their hair and not accept being judged by their appearance. These primitive traditions you speak of are more rooted and advanced than many of the traditions we see today in the western world.

  • @rabuhamdan I have trouble respecting someone who thinks god will not like her if she shows her hair...sorry. Alot of people feel the same way I do. In this day and age there is no reason to cater to those afflicted by the disease known as Islam.

  • @qualityrkc Islam is no more a disease than any other religion. The idea is not that God will not like her but it is thought that there is a sense of self-respect out of covering one's hair and making a dedication to living in a certain way. Why wouldn't you judge nuns the same way? Islam can be a very enlightening religion, as any other, if taken and applied in the proper manner.

  • @qualityrkc Both Islam and Christ religion have covering of head notice the Catholic nuns and Amish that do the same. Although I don't believe in dictating wearing hair covering or believing in any god would not criticize someone if they freely choose to cover their hair. We need tolerance of other beliefs but should not allow others to impose those religious beliefs and the horrors that often come with them. So athiesm makes most sense but wouldn't impose it. Freedom of thought brings advances.

  • @hydrolito Im not saying we should impose atheism but I dont agree that we should be tolerant of religious belief. I feel that people who dedicate effort and time to ridiculous unfounded beliefs should be publicly mocked similar to the way the west boro baptist church is publicly mocked. I take the hitchens route. I will not cater to ignorance and I shouldn't be forced to be tolerant of religion. Especially when they dont pay taxes while participating in political matters.

  • @rabuhamdan WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW! LOOK AT WHAT I FOUND ON THE INTERNETS THIS MORNING. LITTLE TID BIT OF NEWS FROM ISLAMIC SAUDI ARABIA! watch?v=mW9q4gTz-K0

  • @qualityrkc That's sad.. I come from a mixed background and have actually spent a year working in Saudi Arabia and realized that I hated the place. You need to understand that Saudi Arabia is not a normal application of Islam. It's unreasonable on many accounts. Consider other countries, Jordan for example, where Islam is the major religion and people are still very peaceful and outgoing with an open mind. There are many problems with Saudi, but Islam is not the cause of it.

  • @ Islam may not be the cause of it but it is the tool of choice used to opress people in ME countries. I agree lebanon and jordan are examples of countries that are somewhat secular and civilized but the majority of muslim countries are not like this.So my question is why should I believe that jordan and lebanon (tho it is illegal in lebanon for a christian and a muslim to be married) are the example and not the exception given how many muslim countries are barbaric.

  • @qualityrkc It's funny that you say that as my father is Lebanese Muslim married to a Christian American... I'm not sure of the technicalities. In any case, Jordan and Lebanon are an exception because they are more developed. But that gives the case that the other countries need to be developed further and not that they should adapt another form of religion. You can take into consideration other less developed countries or the history of current developed countries to prove it.

  • @rabuhamdan they certainly were not married in lebanon you little fibber! i know lesser developed countries fall back on silly religions and mysticism, yes. Its called christianity and islam.

  • @rabuhamdan also where is the outcry in the muslim community about the abnormal application of islam? its non existent. In the muslim world there is no room for real debate bc there is always a chance someone is going to say something that is gunna get their head chopped off.

  • @qualityrkc

the way u judge Muslims and Arabs is exactly what u hear from FoxNews and all those biased media. When Muslim females cover their hair is coz they respect their religion. It's so hypocritical how you guys respect nuns in churches and the way they respect their religion, but when it comes to Muslims it becomes inferiority.

Plus, you can go and google Arwa Othman, she is a Yemeni female who was awarded also in her field recently and she's showing her hair, we r proud of her too !!

  • @FoXXeRiNHo Yes except unlike fox news Im not hypocritical bc I also see the ridiculousness of the christian religion. Only difference is that christianity has adapted to modern times in a way islam hasn't. You dont see nuns being stoned to death or having their heads cut off for taking off their ridiculous head gear. Its a problem whether you would like to see it that way or not. I understand muslims are being persecuted right now but you must keep perspective and beware of who/what you defend.

  • Absolutely amazing. So inspiring.

  • Wonderful!

  • What a phenomenal speech/ declaration
