I lived in a small pueblo in Bolivia that did not have any electricitand was hundreds of miles from any electric civilization. Unfortunately, I didnt have a telescope, but I could see the Magellenic Clouds very clearly every night. It was pretty amazing .It was so bright it looked as if it were a real cloud.
