  • Wrong plumballa...a Silvercrown is heavier, with a much larger fuel tank, no pit stops needed for 100 lap races...both run a v8 engine...A regular Sprint car usually runs a 410 cubic inch aluminum engine creating about 800-900hp. There are several divisions though, 305 ci, 358 ci...there are a few 6 cylinder sprint cars from back in the day, but nothing crazy. A midget (about 3/4 the size of a sprint car) runs a 400-500 horse 4 cylinder engine, and weighs about 800-900 pounds.

  • to minonkracer a sprint car irs a few hundered pounds lighter than a silver crown and only has a 4cyl engine in which a silver crown has bigger wheelbas a beefier all around car with either a 6cyl or 8 cyl enigine depending on the series

  • Can someone please tell me what the difference between a silver crown and a sprint car is?

  • Cool shots. You get a better sense of the speed of the cars from this angle than you get from watching on TV.

  • Awesome stuff, I was right there on the rail by you during the dark shots. My first time at the fairgrounds. Saved video on my cell phone, never dreamed I would see it on youtube...nice work and THANKS!

  • Awesome footage from the inside rail.
