How many AI competitors can you put in about each track? In most videos I see 24, is that the max?

It's wierd, with bots driving, and in every realistic racing game, when others crash, you can just push through like a tractor. I mean, realistic, my ass. Take F1 2010 or this for example. I love this game, but seriously?
