I LOVED THIS MOVIE I LOVE LOOKING AT BLACK/WIGHT FLICKS NOW DAYS YOU CANÈT SEE ANYTHING LIKE IT .CLASSICS MOVIES ONLY THE GOOD ONES ARE HARD TOO SEE IN THIS DAY AND TIME.
When Joan lets it all out at E.G.Robinson I'm reminded of Bette Davis' rant in "Of Human Bondage" at the "cripple". Gonna watch that one again now. Bette is my fave, but this movie was great with all the twists. Thanks for uploading these wonderful classics.
There's no fool like an old fool except a foolish girl in love. Johnny was a psycopath, Kitty was his mealticket - an exploitative bitch and Chris once wondered what it would be like to be loved by a beautiful young woman ..... Careful what you wish for - the vile wife, included!
great black and white movie! what a way to "rot!" lost his wife, his lover, his job and wandering around haunted. Very creative indeed!.Need more movies with twists like this.
That actor depicted his wife as annoying a little to well. She was flicking annoying.geez!
You're right man, I should take it easy. I'm sorry about that. You know, while you're at it why don't you just change the film from black and white to color. It's just color after all. And monitor resolution has nothing to do with aspect ratio, not that your dumb-ass would know that anyway. No, what bothers me is that fact that you have no respect for the people who made it. Now take this fucking video down and put it up correctly!
Wow, this may be Fritz Lang's most underrated movie. A truly compelling tragedy of unrequited love, manipulation, betrayal and guilt with one of the most haunting endings I've ever seen. This is film-noir at its finest.
This movie was very interesting. Not only was it a classic cliffhanger, it rang true to life, so many women taking men for their money, so many women putting up with abusive boyfriends, so many older men wanting to buy love from a younger woman and... karma coming back to bite you in the butt from past sins. Awesome!*****
I can not make up my mind which is better...Scarlet Street or Woman in the Window...But I do know Edward G. and Joan Bennett are two of the most underrated actors of their time...WOMAN IN THE WINDOW...gets my pick...Sure wish these two had made more movies together...They are great...really great!
33:40 Ha ha! You know what that implies!

Ugh, I can't watch this. The image is stretched to be 1.85:1 or so when it should be 1.37:1.

I guess The Woman in the Window was Lang's first attempt to tell this story. A year later he made this version.

@dschmi237 Take it easy man, its just aspect ratio. Go change your monitor resolution if it bothers you that much.
