I would be interested in seeing other videos of Dr Wu's Tai Chi sequence and his Chi Gung techniques. I learned a lot from Dr Wu, but I didn't realize it until many years later.
I was interested in "enlightenment" and Dr Wu agreed to focus on that. However, after three years I realized that I was still learning the fine art of dirty fighting. Only recently, did I understand the method to this madness!
Hey, I just happened to stumble across this while I Googled Dr. Wu's name. I am a student of one of Dr. Wu's closest students, Tyrone Jackson (aka the fearless monkey!) I and my brothers were based in Dayton,Ohio and we trained many times in Columbus with him mostly doing Shaolin-based wushu and of course tai chi and chi gung. Seeing this and reading the comments have made my day! Thank you kung fu brothers!
Did you attend Dr. Fred Wu (Ming Arn) classes in Columbus or a a university? If so, you are actually doing Lee Ying An modified TC for health. I recognize a few forms that were not included in Wu's TC taught at the university, and the sequence is radically changed. If this is the same teacher, what year were you with him?
I studied with Dr Fred Wu from 1965 to 1975 in Columbus OHIO (With some breaks for military and marriage). Some of the classes were held at Ohio State University, but most were off campus. Sorry but I do not know Ming Am or Lee Ying An. Dr Fred Wu was a Chemist and worked at Chemical Abstracts for some time, but left to teach Tai Chi full time during the time that I studied with him.
I was a student from 1973 to around 1985. It is good to see others preserving some of Dr. Wu's teachings.

It's the same form I learned in Columbus from Dr. Wu many years back. It is based on Lee Ying Arng's form from his book on the subject.

Great! What years were you in Columbus? I was there from 1962 till 1975.

Through the mid 90's and up through 2001. Then I studied with his protege, Steven Madaffari.
