there are sad songs/movies in the sense that they ignite that part of you that u intentionally keep inside and let out once in a while but can still move on. This particular ending on the other hand completely destroys me, i dont kno why exactly but Gantz hit me like no other work ever produced, and i assure u im not an emotional guy.

from what i know the author will make all the characters die except for kurono. i dont know if he was talking about the anime or the manga but this manga is so fucking sad. ( damn u kurono he had a chance to bring kishimoto back but he didnt and now he cant )

i just started reading this recently and watching the anime, im at ep 10 i know the manga is crazy good but i heard alot of ppl say the anime has diff ending and it sucks. i dont know if i should watch it to the end or just stop at ep 10 because out of 3 girls Kurono likes, my favorite one is Kishino but in the manga the copy one died and the original is still alive ( dont know for sure if she is alive during the giant alien invasion) and that is really sad. from what i know the author will...

It has taken Berserk 10 years to get a remake, and Gantz still hasn't gotten one. Meanwhile titles like Naruto and Bleach can get away with over 200 episodes of filler.

@monksters1 It'd be great to see a full Gantz adaption that actually followed the manga. I'd love to see characters like Sakurai, Tae, Kaze, etc, animated.

And it looks like it; there's a Berserk anime project of some kind coming up. Heard there's going to be a movie anyway, but can't say if there'll be more than that yet. Just type in Berserk 2010, you can find a few teaser trailers.

I have read some of the manga, and watched the anime. I'm sorry, but anything animated correctly is automatically better than a comic. The anime was amazing, it changed my outlook on certain things, it was artistic. The manga couldn't give off the same feeling, because they are limited to 5 frames a page. Stop blabbing about the manga please, and appreciate the well crafted anime.

have you seen the anime? them dissappearing represents that they died, think of it, losing your best friend, and the girl you love, that's pretty sad to me, and he was there when they died so kinda adds more pain knowing he couldn't stop them from dying

So it went to an alternate ending. I hope (and wish) the'll do a second series, once the end of the manga is announced, just like they did FMA.
