I propose a new bill to congress: No salary rise or pay increase can be invoked unless done so by voters at the poles. No congressman, president, or any other politician can take with them on termination (being voted out at the poles) a severance pay greater than two months salary. Once that door hits them in the butt..they get no more tax payers dollars.
