  • anybody knows what is the name of the movie from the cinatics.... and the year of it??...

  • Virgil is kinda scary in this. 0_o

But I like the live incorporation of this. It's better than some I've seen.

  • we were watching this in history class and me and my friend yelled " that was ..AWESOME!!!!! " and we got sent to the office -.-

  • @xxfuckthehatersxx99 That is most unfair! You and your friend plainly have the makings of great film critics. Do not let them grind you down.

  • @Jimburge1 i know right

  • Image if cream the rabbit eat brainz

  • wait, eating the brain wouldn't hurt there are no nerves that cause pain in the brain.

  • Wrong thumb wops

  • there is already an old (mute) movie entitled "inferno" with tentative special effects

  • i hope they make a movie and fast but not like that this think sucks the game is 100 times better from this if the movie makers do it like this it will be a disaster!!!

  • @johnnywalker458 Youre fucking stupid

  • i hope divine comedy can have its own movie to furtherly understand the distinction of hell, purgatory and heaven,,

  • I find it funny that Paradise sounds so boring and Hell itself is disturbing, So in laments term. What's hell without alil fun?

  • I'm Italian and I'd like a film version, as long as there are also contents that Dante wanted to convey in his work ... and they are not just a collection of special effects, bye :-)

  • LOL the dude eatin the other dudes brain must be a zombie.

  • I Wander If This Is True...

  • omg this is freakn hilarious!!! check out this movie in webmovietube

  • thanks andrea haha!! nice movie..just watched this in webmovietube

  • i'd crap my pants if I was in the dark forest and then a ghostly guide is waitin for me >.>;

  • the story is good but its heresy!

  • @darkshockwaveblast

    wat the devine comedy?

  • Heresy?

    literature my friend

  • @darkshockwaveblast Lol what? How is it heresy? Can you please explain for me your reasoning for saying this?

  • good

  • this is nice.. very nice..

  • PHANTOMZONE, Interesting how human can miss the point, and go on doing the same mistakes over again as if the lessons of history had no bearing. This novel was written more than 700 years ago and it remains current today, it is called philosophy though it is unconventional in its form.

  • Such an amazing story...I am reading this now

  • how did Dante just sudenly ended up in a dark wood ?

  • The trouble with a sin like betrayal, is that the victim of betrayal decends into hell in life.

  • dantes inferno was created from these u know

  • Shame you are not italian! That's a pity and deep sorrow in your life. You're condamned for the rest of your poor lives to read the Divine Commedy in translation!!!!!!!!! Dante hits again

  • @laboratorioumano its just not the same.....

  • I believe there's an error. Virgil is in fact Dante's guide throughout Purgatory -- it is only at the Heavenly Paradise is Virgil to depart.

  • as you see the detail came from no mere mortals mind

  • This needs to be made a movie. with the special effects we have now adays! any way great view on lucifer. my only complaint is that he was not chewing on Brutus, Cassius, or Judas. and he did not have his six wings. but i gusse beggers cant be chosers!

  • That would be one EPIC movie. I'd go see it in a heartbeat (as long as it stays true to the poem, unlike the new videogame...)

  • @itsjoshwiper You are quite right, as the director I should apologise. The devil should be chewing Brutus, Cassius and Judas; he should have six wings and in fact he should only have one head with three faces on it. The truth is the visual effects guys made the model in rather a hurry. I had decided not to show the devil but they insisted on showing me what you could do with old fashioned techniques (we actually used a mirror!) they were right but it was a rush job. All the best, James Burge

  • @Jimburge1

nah dude its cool. i love how you captuerd the circle of fraud though! PLEASE MAKE THUIS A FULL LENGTH MOVIE!

  • @itsjoshwiper Glad you enjoyed it. If you meet a feature film producer let him or her know what you think. I will do the same!

  • @itsjoshwiper I definitely agree

  • @itsjoshwiper have you read the inferno? ok my bad i thought you were smart for a second.

  • @itsjoshwiper I wish there can be a real movie. I made my own trailer for the Inferno using special effects, you can check it out on my channel, you might actually find it interesting.

However, I'm hoping they'd make a real movie for this someday.

  • @ShiningAllure That is a really good trailer, Shining Allure, congratulations

  • did dante alligeirri actually went into the hell? or was that his imagination?

  • lol, it's a book he made called "the divine Comedy" dante wrote it. It didn't actually happen.

  • so what meant is that did dante alligeirri wrote this book from any real experience or or he wrote out of imagination.

  • @jsmithbab6 no man even knows what happens in the after life. so yes, this is dante's "wild" Imagination on how the catholic after life will be like.

  • were you there? no didnt think so

  • kill yourself.

  • my Q is not foolish .its reasonable enough u hippocrat.

  • @jsmithbab6 wow u are one of the biggest retards ever.

  • I strongly doubt Dante actually went to hell (though I guess one never knows... lol...) The Divine Comedy was written mostly as a political poem. He was disgusted with Florence, and wrote the poem after his exile to express his opinions. He wanted to see an end to the hypocrisy. He wanted Florence to become less like his vision of hell, and more like his vision of heaven.

  • its his imagination bro. its an epic allegoric poem

  • Watching this was fascinating but made my stomach churn abit

  • Holy fuck, dante must of been pretty fucked up after what he saw in hell.

  • @samsung123ify it saved him

  • can someone please tell me what this documentary is called?

  • XD Divine comedy dante aligieri somethign idk

  • This documentary is entitled "The Circles of Light", and I have it almost complete. Since I recorded it a long time ago on my old betacam, the beginning (first 15 minutes) were lost. And is dubbed in spanish. It would be nice if someone publish the documentary complete, is a great master piece.

  • thanks so much for the input, it looks aged but the story survives

  • this is theatre! it is just for tv!!!!that´s not the true story and the true meaning!!!!!!

  • any more of this ? part 4?

and what is this from ? looks very old.

  • I would have loved to have seen the sinners chewed in lucifer's mouthes.

  • Interesting how human morbid curiosity always finds inferno far more interesting than paradiise.

  • @PHANTOMZ0NE: That's cause the readers become attached to Virgil's character. I know I was sad when Virgil had to leave Dante to Beatrice to return to Limbo. I wish that he would have upgraded for his efforts you know, I'm sure Virgil deserved it. Still, I haven't finished Paradiso. I need to finish it soon.

  • @PHANTOMZ0NE Very true, but I also think it's just easier for us to imagine moments of despair and pain, rather than creating a 'perfect' world that hasn't been based on anything we have experienced before, which in a way, is heaven. Think about it.

  • @PHANTOMZ0NE Dante loved a lot the humanity, and that's the purpose of writing his Comedy. Of course he was much more interested in it, he was interested in the men he wanted to save

  • @PHANTOMZ0NE Meh, I used to think so too, but don't get too cynical just yet! Paradise is an idea we all like far more, and those who believe are obviously generally more interested in getting there. The concept though is one which, if it really is more beautiful than words can describe, not one most would want to ruin with their thoughts and assumptions. I think it's peace indescribable, just as hell is torment indescribable, but people respect the first thus leave it untouched to feel safe.

  • @PHANTOMZ0NE This is in fact the most amusing proof that the human is, even tough focussed on negativity and suffering, still a being of good and appreciation. Parts of you just like it to be able to abuse or be abused.

But who would be suprised? Earth is a mix from heaven and hell if you ask me.

  • MIdway along the journey of my life, I woke to find myself in a dark wood, for I had wandered off from the straight path...

  • It's interesting that Dante has Virgil (pagan), who died in 19 BCE, just before the Christian era, to lead him through the inferno and purgatorio. Roman poet and author of the Aeneid, that epic story of the might of Rome, a man who was also able to chronicle the misfortune of her adversaries, giving a more complete reflection of the Roman world.

  • Virgil led Dante through hell and purgatory because he was a virtuous pagan. Beatrice led Dante through paradise because she was a saved Christian. According to Dante, virtuous pagans can't enter heaven, and saved Christians can't enter hell. It makes a lot of sense. What's interesting to me is that Dante DID include pagans in paradise. He never said you had to be a Christian to enter heaven. He even puts the pope in hell.

  • Wikipedia:

Typical of Hawthorne's stories, Rappaccini's Daughter contains references to Dante's Divine Comedy and the Garden of Eden. The story juxtaposes the scientific aspects of research (Professor Rappaccini and Professor Baglioni) with spirituality (Giovanni and Beatrice). This story provides an interesting approach to the voyeurism presented by the scientists and how far two people can love each other despite physical barriers.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, it's Rappacini's Daughter. I liked that because it was written in Americana.

    FYI

Hawthorne often thought he was cursed because he was a descendant of one of the judges in the Salem Witch Trials.

    Cool video Accelerator, thanx...

  • I need to read this. It's just a small book. I read passages in high school but I dismissed it because I was an Atheist. I watched part 3 which I get now.

Did Hawthorn name his Beatrice after her? I vaguely recall this name there. I'm so bad at names tho...

Writers often "borrow" other names in literature.
