Some people aren't impressed with the 3D glasses option. Keep in mind that this is what makes it affordable. If your looking for a hi-tech 3D TV with a camera to match, then your bank balance will need to be very healthy. As for now I'm happy to record my family with this 3D option for a hundred dollars. By the time 3D TV is affordable my kids won't be kids any more. But I'll still have a crude 3D image of my kids as kids, and it'll be precious to me. Not to mention fun for all of us.

I hate the 3D glasses they are very inconvenient especially because i already wear glasses full time. I dont see 3D being more that a niche product until they can display it without the use of glasses (though this may not be until viable hologram technology is available)

This device is utterly pointless until somebody develops some sort of 3D monitor.

I mean... 3D glasses? Come on. They greatly reduce the range of visible colors, make your eyes hurt after a while since it's unnatural to have a different color perception on each eye, can't be worn in addition to other glasses resp. seeing aids... I mean, the anaglyph method goes back to 1853. Not exactly new technology, I'd say. So first we need a proper 3D display before we give this webcam idea another try.

That's a lot better than red and blue (or red & green, red & cyan etc.) glasses. Less eyestrain and much better color quality. It's a bit costly though. And there's still the need to wear glasses, which is not really an option for people with seeing aids.

@Tastentier red cyan glasses work fine for me they dont hurt and i can see most coulers well and buy the way you can buy a 3d pc screen for about 200-300$ wich use the glasses they use at the cinema i no this isent conpatible with one of them but if you use 2 pf the same camara such as flip cam put the too videos side buy side then upload it to youtube it will convert to 3d and if you have a 3d screen it will work just like it does at the cinema
