Actually, it's not that far from the original song. Of course there's a more modern sound to it, and there are other small differences but besides that the sound is fairly true to the original. This song is a lot closer to the original than most of the covers Hank III has done.

He kind of has to make changes to the original, you know. Just like Hank Jr changed Kawliga and many other songs. Especially with such a strong vocal/physical resemblance to Sr. Otherwise he's nothing but an imitation.
