  • This bitch has absolute no tits.

  • Unless Japanese health care workers are working for free, stop calling it free health care. When my friend's Japanese girlfriend came to live in America she turned into a blimp when she got onto an American diet. NO national health care for the fast food nation!

  • The health care in Japan comes out of taxes. YOU PAY

  • @ummerrahh every developed country pays taxes. you're paying regardless if you see the benefits or not. when you compare US tax rates internationally, Japan's rates are very similar. Yet 45 million Americans are uninsured (including a massive percentage of children) while every child in Japan is covered under free health care. you may have to pay for the national healthcare system but you DO receive many benefits. how about asking the US gov't where the fuck your money went last year?

  • この人の英語はかなりわかりやすい部類だ。

    アメリカ人は健康保険については、滅茶苦茶だね。日本は、ヨーロッパとアメリカの中間程度の制度設計になっています。

  • Awesome video thanks!

  • LOL 3rd world countires..?

    better health care.. silly girl

  • America needs universal health-care... People don't understand their cheap insurance only pays for the 'illusion' of good health-care. The moment you get sick, you're just a leech to your insurance, and they WILL deny you if they can. It's really painful to watch people suffer through the health care system for stuff that's cheap/free in other countries.... Our system is run on greed and profits. I'm healthy, but I'd rather have insurance that will cover everyone, and not just healthy people.

  • Sammi, you got to be kidding. The Obama plan is causing insurance companies to double in value? Its a "forced insurance" plan. And the insurance companies will double in value and profits. This is UNLIKE the Japan or Canada plans where gov. is the "zero profit" insurer. Obama Plan is terrible! The idea originally was to move from a profit based insurance system to a zero profit gov. insurance based system. Simplest would have been to simply lower the medicare age gradually. Too bad....

  • your english is easy to listen.

i am a japanese who study english.

your videos are the best text for me!

    thanks!

  • it depends the way think about it

  • OMG where did you get electric sigi?

  • My last trip to a clinic ran me $80USD, $50 base and I went to have ear wax removed, $10 per ear, $8-9 something taxes. This was with insurance.

  • I think its more of the matter of whats in the health care bill as many of congress are not given enough time to read the full bill but are being forced to sign it. Just like most bills being passed through congress nowadays.

  • どうなの?

    禁煙できそうな代物?

    禁煙できそうだったら買いたいんだけど

  • take care. お大事に。。。몸조리잘하세요.

  • yea my medical visit was about $30 in japan. i couldn't even fathom how cheap my medication was when i got sick in japan. it was about 3 pills, and some garggle mixture; altogether 400 or 500yen. ($4 or $5)

in america i know that i would have bombed at least $100 on the visit alone.

since ive been back. i had a

  • Living in Hawaii, it boggles my mind that most places don't have the healthcare laws we have here. Every employer in the state is required to offer GOOD health insurance to any worker who works 20 hours a week or more, regardless of things like pre-existing conditions. In the state with one of the highest costs of loving in the country, we have the second-lowest heathcare premiums. And even then, we have so many people who slip through the cracks, so many without access to adequate care.

  • free in Canada~ One of the best healthcare + welfare systems in the world~

  • the cost is included in ur taxes. nothing is free.

  • of course it isn't free. but the total cost per household per person is still 1/2 that of Americans. Also, they have a much lower infant mortality rate, preventable deah rate, and the entire country is covered...

  • so basically doctors are not free to set up their business if they feel like...doctors will not have incentives to do their best. have a look at the ex-USSR

  • Where are you originally from? I know for dang sure it ain't Philly.

Are you from the country where Hostel was filmed?

  • where did u get that USB! Is there ichigo flavoured?

  • I support universal healthcare, it's that as a conservative I can understand the counterargument that people who are trying to work and support themselves are getting taxed to death by those who won't or will but don't belong here.

I myself don't work and one thing stopping me is exactly what you said, I'm a diabetic that needs more care than I can afford to pay but can't get it if I work so I turn to the county services.

BTW what's japans immigration policies, I bet it's not like America's.

  • cute at :49 !

  • I have seen the Ad for those electric cigarettes there called Blue I think. U still get the nicotine though just not the other stuff that they put in cigarettes they have a website But I think the best part of all is that they don't smell

  • shut up

  • Thanks for that well thought out and intelligent reponse

  • A recent study found that 62 percent of all bankruptcies filed in 2007 were linked to medical expenses. Of those who filed for bankruptcy, nearly 80 percent had health insurance.9

use Google and common sense just like this lady does.

  • So? Your medical expenses are my problem? You people need to look at the current system like not being able to cross state lines for insurance, State required mandates like sex changes etc.. and frivilos law suits that drive up malpractice insurance. The US system can be improved, but not throught government control. HOW MANY AMERICANS ARE GOING TO OTHER COUNTRIES FOR HEALTH CAR VS WHO COMES HERE??

  • actually....

  • last summer i traveled to Japan for cancer treatment because I could not get it in the USA... I am 24, just graduated college, and I have no family to help me. Thankfully, my Japanese Fiance paid for my flight, and a 17000$ precedure cost me about 3700$...

  • yea its sadly cheaper to do what you did to get treated than to get treated in the country that you live in. That's soo Fucked up, and trust me if you had japan's national health insurance (citizens and residents get it I had it once when I was living therE). its even cheaper than what you paid for.

  • I'm brazilian and when I hear other brazilians complaining about Brazil (which they do a lot) and saying how much other countries are better, I often use health care as example. If you or someone in your family gets sick, you have yhe right to free treatment. I'm not saying it's perfect, cause it's far from that, but you won't die because you don't have money to go to the doctor or to buy medicine. You can even get expensive meds, like the one for AIDS or cancer, for free.

  • True. In fact, Brazil was the first country to give away meds for AIDS ever. By the way, I think Brazilians complain about everything, even other Brazilians!

  • I'm pretty sure the National Health Care bill trying to get passed in the US currently is more health insurance than actual care.

While I would love the US to have national health care, the US won't be able to do that until they've gotten rid of health insurance providers.

Personally I don't trust the bill currently trying to get passed since I feel it'll just turn into a large Medicaid/Medicare, the current gov. health insurances, and those fail horribly.

  • i have been thinking of getting out of the states for years and i've just turned 18 not too long ago. i can see it going to crap. your mask is so cute!! & i reaaally need to stop smoking

  • Very interesting video! :)

  • the electric cigarette doesn't have nicotine. When they released it in the US they decided to add it, because they can't just leave something harmless, they always have to add an addictive and harmful substance to something whether it be nicotine, trans fats, HFCS, etc.

  • @33Sammi32

It's your opinion but there are always hidden costs associated with universal health care. Why do you think people come to America to get treatments? America has the latest and best technology to treat illness and cure diseases.

You may ask what about the poor and elderly? I believe your country already have Medicare and Medicaid as well as VA(health care for war veterans?) so it's somewhat already universal in your country.

  • @33Sammi32

Instead of supporting for your president's health care, what about telling your people to take care of their own body and health? I believe that taking care your health is individual's responsibility instead of bureaucrats. I know because my friends back in the States eat like crap instead of eating healthy foods.

Either way your country's health care bill passed so there will be more waiting and bureaucrats making decisions instead of individual and doctors.

  • I'm so glad you made this video, Sammi! The healthcare system here in the US is appalling! And so many people are so against change. I don't understand it. I'm young, I have a college education, I have a job, I make more than minimum wage, and I have insurance that I pay for through the company I work for, but I still cannot afford to go to the doctor if I am sick, or worse yet, if I get injured. Things need to change.

  • I also love your mask--it's very cute. ^_^

  • i was!! when u smoked i almost freaked out! I want to live in Japan =(

  • How much does the cig cost? haha. as for the US goes.. if it makes sense... it doesn't happen =(

  • That water cigarette is awesome.

It might be fun to try it out in smoke free zone, like inside a plane.

  • If you're so concerned about healthcare, you should come to Europe ! Here in Belgium I think we have one of the best healthcare in the world !!!

Btw, thanks for showing us the electrical cigarette !

  • Nippon! here I come!!!

  • Another reason I personally wouldn't like to live in America. It is appalling and it goes to show that the US if more concentrated on personal/business agendas of a minority of people rather than the health of it's nation :(

I'd like to purchase an e-cig but some say that you end up smoking more because it's harder to gauge, that is, if you were to plan on buying a nicotine based one. Though the water vapour one would probably be my choice now.

    Thanks for the video!

  • That cigarette thing is so cool! It would probably be a great tool to help people quit smoking!

  • I wish Obama wanted real national health care.:<

  • yes i was very surprised about the cigarrette .....i was like NOOOOO!!!!!!

but you fooled me :P he he

...errr..... by the way where can i buy one?,looks like fun to surprised my family members and friends since they know i would never smoke ;)

good to see you well as always

  • U.S.A. compared to "other" countries with Universal Health Care? ***TAX FREEDOM DAYS*** (Date "you" PAY TAXES until youre "TAX FREE"!) U.S.A.... April 13th (Date "they" PAY TAXES until "TAX FREE" with universal health care?) UK......May 14th Canada.... June 6th Germany... July 8th France...... July 16th Sweden.... July 29th NOTE: numbers do NOT reflect the NATIONAL SALES TAX "they" pay in comparison to the U.S.A. US 8%, UK 17.5%, France 20% Canada 22% (total), Germany 23% (total)
  • Those tax figures are not about Universal health care only. I know for a fact in germany universities are free, so their tax takes into account education and healthcare. In NZ we have free dental services until 18yrs of age. Also, I imagine like many European countries, like NZ, have lots of social programs to help those who are poor.

I also heard Americans pay huge sums of tax, that there are many different kinds of taxes they need to pay. So wat does this US 8% account for?

  • Ur crazy

  • Though Japanese healthcare is cheap my experience with japanese doctors has been very bad. They hand u packets of drugs, which the doctors make money from, and kick u out the door fast. Half of them have no idea wat they are doing. Of course im speaking of japanese clinics, whereas japanese hospitals are much better. Be aware of clinics :P

NZ healthcare is great. Pretty much free. Ran into a wall, went to hospital, xrays, doctors, $0. Sweet :)

  • hahaha Cuba has better health care than the US i went to the emergency room because i Couldnt afford to get a normal doctor and it cost me $5,000 for some stitches :( i cant wait till im in japan next year

  • going to college in america=very expensive.

going to college to be a docter in america=INSANE

    health insurance in america=expensive

    D:

if you are middle class and work in america, you can't get medacaid or welfare.

but, you are expected to pay for it...

we are in a 4 trillion dollar tax deficit.

most of our money was wasted by govt. during the last term.

people aren't willing to trust the govt. with their money anymore...

i think these are the reasons people are opposed to it...

  • @freeinjapan

*Health Insurance in America= Expensive because of lousy diets. Yes too much Happy Meals and all you can eat buffets.

*Going to college in America= Expensive because people want to study from all over the world so schools can charge whatever they please.

*Middle Class in America is getting poor because America let ILLEGALS come in and take away American people's jobs(California as an example)

*The Healthcare in America is expensive because people are getting sick by lousy diets.

  • Wonderful video Sandy! I agree with you.

  • Don't electric cigarettes have nictotine in them (they are banned here in the US)? Anyhow, I do see a health care bill coming through in the US, but it is going to be very "watered" down. The public option is already off the table and without that I see no reason to encourage my Senator to vote for it. The present version of the Health Care Bill is nothing more than a way to force more Americans into lousy (mandated) insurance. If there was a public option I would write to my senator.

  • yea electric cigarettes have nicotine in it. Its jsut a nicotine shot basically... When I was studying at APU in JApan. We had to do a case study on it, and we determined that it was a marketting scam. Anyway when I was living in Japan basically I was covered by national health insurance. It isn't bad. The US can afford to do it. IT has a huge tax base there is no way they should have troubles doing it cheaply. the opposition is making it expensive & mediocre.

  • That electric cigarette is so cool! I want to play with one ^_^

When I was in Japan last year I got sick and was pleasantly surprised with how affordable it was for me to go to the doctor (three times) and buy medicine.

We have a thing called medicare here in Australia and it's fantastic. I had depression and saw a counsellor, it cost $160 an hour but medicare gave me back about $130 each time. And depending on the type of consultation, doctors are often free.

  • We have a National Health Service in the UK, and its not the best health service but now that I think about it, we are lucky. Because going to the GP is free and operations are paid by the government.

I absolutely loved the fake cigarette reminds me of shisha. What are those cigarettes called in Japanese, because Im going there this Dec and would like to get some for my mum who is trying to quit smoking :)

  • Hi Sammi, if you were living in Britain, you would be entitled to free healthcare. However, collecting stuff from the pharmacy it is £7.50 each time ($10). If you were under 18 or on unemployment allowance then your prescriptions would be free, Our doctors are very well trained, but not very nice.

  • We probably have the worse doctor-patient relationships. Why are they so mean :(

  • Well it's good that you keep on top of things. And yes, national health care is really important.

  • Also haha that fake cigarette is awesome!

  • I completely agree about healthcare in the US, it's ridiculous. My boyfriend and I plan on moving to Japan in a couple of years and I very much look forward to that. Thank you for the info. :)
