I like the design concepts. I would like to know how you plan to manage heating/cooling and waste sewage. Additionally, what about rooftop garden and putting the traffic on the street or below ground? Off to a good start, but I'd look at things like LEED and Cradle to Cradle. They'll give you some good ideas and starting points.
@TheChutzpahGirl thanx a lot, i figured it out.. its called All Together Now from The Beatles! haha by the lyrics it wasnt difficult to figure out xDD
Along with the green house at 0:35, solar panels should be installed on the suniest side. The panels could be fixed in a way so they catch the sun, while reflecting any wasted light into the outer part of the greenhouse, increasing the heating.
You really have to waterproof the concrete for concrete cancer with all those plants in the balconies. The building I live in is similar and they have to rip up floors with concrete cancer. The "body corporate" is looking for the architect to sue for damages. So that is something to be careful about. Blessings FLETCHER
Simply amazing this video is all good, great pictures, great sound I know someday this place just amazing, also did a video search on youtube with the name /watch?v=lZ-0OJiX3SE
@redwoodforesttwo If you knew what you were talking about you would have referred to it as concrete not cement. This project looks like a half baked college project- no more sustainable than 99.9% of the high-rise projects proposed out there. Putting plants all over a building hardly makes it sustainable.
What is the environmental significance of the different lengths of your facade? Why did you choose to design your, what seem to be balconies, in different lengths? Also, with the big glass figure n the middle, doesn't that affect natural ventilation in the building?
I agree with your cause however. Not only do the plants in the balconies provide good aesthetics, they also provide help in cooling your structure.
@meydjazz while the plants could slightly reduce the solar gain on the facade, the reality of trying to get plants to grow (and stay alive) on a facade that's getting a high velocity of wind is nearly impossible. THINK, when was the last time you saw a 20+ story high-rise with plants hanging off all the balconies? How about NEVER... there's a reason!

There is cement which is much more resistant to water damage.

@meydjazz The different lengths of the facade might be to aid in sunlight access for the plants and trees.
Also, visual interest.
