@clarinetmeister Sorry it took so long to get back to u. It's about a real castle in an English county called East Sussex. In medieval times, it was attacked by people in disguise as hungry peasants. The slow part at the beginning is where the "peasants" beg for food. They let them in the castle, and that's where the fighting takes place (the allegro). When it gets soft again, they think all of the attackers are dead, but a few of them just faked it, and the battle continues for a short moment.

@Nuckatucka13 Nothing wrong with that. Its a REALLY hard part. It just needs alot of practice. Percussion is one of the hardest parts, just because of all the pressure, especially in this song. If the snare screws up, theres a fight for tempo between the director and the precussion, and most people pick precussion.

Mmh... clarinets and saxes could've used vibrato.. (: We're playing this for our district festival. Nice blend and tone quality.. Especially nice overall decrescendo for the snare drum at Allegro. At times, the suspended cymbal could've been a little quieter.

Oh yeah. Snare drum dragged measures 81-87. And the rallentando could've been better. But overall, nicely done. :)

@Nevershoutnever57 Thanks for your input! Measures 81-87 were intentional if I remember right. You're right about the saxes, but clarinet vibrato is generally frowned upon outside of jazz circles.

@clarinetmeister No problem! And ahh. You never know. When we played this at district, our snare slowed down about to half his speed by accident and then had to recover, and come back to speed. But we still made state lol.

And interesting. I actually prefer clarinet vibrato. Then again, I love jazz circles as well, so that might affect it.
