Lo vi por primera vez a principio de los 80.Entonces me gusto mucho,y no solo eso...tambien me inspiro.Llevo mas de 30 años escalando en solitario,en parte gracias a esta pelicula tan sencilla y bien hecha.
THANKS for posting this. was also burnt into my mind as a teen (all but the last minute of it). while on vacation in the 70's it was on TV late at night. I sat there totally intrigued with the story (no dialogue made it even more interesting) watched all the way up til he was into his descent (the scene of him jumping over the tree branch was specifically ingrained into my memory) when TV went off. I have forever wondered how it ended. Finally do. Ironically I was only a minute away. Thnx again
I second the motion. Great Video Post!!! An especially poignant moment is when he loses that angle piton...goodbye forever! Its always a sad moment when you lose a piece of gear...Did that with a brand new number 4 friend once and watched it sail down into Abyss. I felt a sense of emptiness as it smacked into the wall a couple of times and then disappeared into the trees (I wish that was the only piece I ever lost).
Now If I can ever find that film "Everest: The Hard Way"
Buenisima amigo. La parte que encuentra la rana estaba en mi mente por siempre de chico. Gracias
