  • Very cool, I heard Chet Atkins the first two weeks I was playing, and I am still trying to beat him, Fat chance. You do this very well and yes, girls can play guitar. Thanks Paul

  • @511Mrpaul Yes they can! :-)

  • I really enjoy your playing Stephanie, is there any chance you would consider moving to Dayton Ohio so I could come and hear you live? ......just saying

    :-)

  • @Guitarman504 Ha! Thanks for the compliment. I would consider playing there! Just let me know some good places. :-)

  • Makes me nervous when women can play better than me =P

But this is truly spectacular, thumbs up doesn't do it enough justice =)

  • @Airomist Hmmm...but no nerves if it's men? :-)

  • You do a very great job here. And as someone said below, changing things around is what makes music unique and iconic. 10/10 for great playing and effort love! Thank you!

  • @HillbillyKat88 Thanks for the 10/10! :-)

  • Bravo!

I think Chet Atkins would be pleased to know you were changing things around. I picked up his book on getting started on guitar, and he was pretty big on looking for variations when you play a piece.

  • Great Pickinng!

  • Here we are : very plesant to hear in memories of Chet and Marcel Dadi who played this song in 1975 at Olympia, Paris. Lovely Contribution and interpretation. Thanks for playing so well !

    Nice to see :)

  • @Dugrok Thanks! It is fun. :-)

  • Cool-O-Matic! Was that a Chet Atkins arrangement? Or Guy Van Duser?

Do you know if there's music for it in cyberspace or elsewhere? Thanks...!

  • @ddanze Thanks! Nope...it's my arrangement. Right now the only place you can find the music to it is in my head. :-)

  • You must be able to use both sides of your brain at the same time.

  • @accousticdecay I thinks so. A teacher told me that years ago.

  • Really nice i love it,i have recently been trying too play guitar finger picking style but its really hard for me since i always play with a pick.. but any way keep it it up !

  • @elvarwinston Thanks! When you learn to use your fingers instead of a pick, you will have 5 built-in picks at your disposal. :-)

  • That was awesome guitar pickin', you're just as good as Tommy Emmanuel & Chet Atkins!

  • @CluvVenny Thanks for watching!

  • Bravo from France !!!!

  • Hi Stephanie,

I remember when I tabbed it for my website, I'd rate about the same as you on the difficulty scale: about a 5 out of 10...Jack B.

  • Stephanie,

I love how you changed the parts around...Jack Baker NYC

  • @gtrman1915 Thanks, Robert!

  • Neat arrangement Stephanie...Jack Baker NYC

  • wow , great , what do you think your difficulty scale was on this one, 1 to 10 ?

  • @doliofa Hey! I was surprised that the first section was fairly low on the difficulty scale...maybe a 4. But when I reversed the tunes, putting "Yankee Doodle" in the treble and "Dixie" in the bass, that's when it got hard. I had to practice it over & over to get it clean...maybe a 7? Glad you liked it! :-)

  • I'm with Pa on this Stephanie.. I'm hoping to see you at CAAS. Great arrangement of a Chet standard.. Difficult too.

  • @rbbambino I can't wait til CAAS! See you there.

  • Absolutely amazing!. Love your arrangement. Looking foward to seing you at CAAS. Jim

  • @PaCobble Thanks! I'll be there in July. Are your son & granddaughter coming?

  • @Stephanie1Jackson Stephanie, at the present time, they are definitely planning on attending. Of course, that depends on work situation.

  • Absolutely amazing!. Love your arrangement. Looking foward to seing you at CAAS. Jim
