Do NOT put a Flowmaster on a normal vehicle with a V-6 unless you want to sound like those shitty rice burner slant eyed fags in their tin can jap cars. Keep the flows on the v-8's only kiddies.
does the 40 series drone a significant amount more around like 1800 rpm and again around 2400 because thats what i have heard and would normal sterio volume cover up most of the interior drone?
I have the 40 on a '99 Explorer (4.0L SOHC) and I can tell you the loudest idle is at 1900 RPM's and the loudest drone is at 2700 RPM's. Normal stereo volume will not completely drown it out. In fact, my sub often competes with it for air space to manipulate.
Pardon me. Let me rephrase that. It sounds great at IDLE. It sounds great at 1900 RPM. It drones at 2700 RPM. Thank you for wasting my time and yours with an obvious typo.
that is really the only draw back...there is a good bit of interior rumble, that's why i have switched back to a stock muffler. but if i ever got another sports car i'd def do flowmaster 40 series
thanks, ya i know the 40 series drone a lot, so i'm going to put the 50 series delta flow on my Mountaineer. they are supposed to be loud outside but don't done nearly as much as the 40s
wow for av6 that does sound very good. Has a nice growl to it. I have a 95 Explorer with a 4.0 And I have been thinking about getting an exhaust system put in. Im thinking original FLowmaster 40 with single in duel outs for twin exhuast exiting the back.
Jealous?

Dude you suck. When you drive by everyone looks at you and says 'Wow that guys a fucking fag'. Don't put that bullshit on a Ford Explorer.

I have it and the stereo usually covers it up but you will notice it alot if you are going uphill.

that would be cool. im just curious as to how much of a "growl" you would get with single in/dual out..im not a big exhaust expert im just curious.
