Paris was the last truly great storyline this show ever had. And by storyline I mean something that has a beginning, middle, and end and not just a bunch of random events. Reilly started losing his mojo after that.
eeehhhhhhh, I agree but I have to also disagree, respectfully! The Paris storyline was great that it resolved of of the left-over stuff from Aremid, nut we would have not made it here without The Possession Storyline! That is what planted the seed for these stories, more or less up to the end of Kristen in what, 1997/1998?! The Possession was over the top, but I felt that Paris was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY over the top on some things....I guess that is why we love it so much?!
You misinterpreted my post. I said the Paris storyline was one of the last great storylines this show ever had, not that it was my favorite storyline this show ever had. From The Affair, to Maison Blanche, to the Possession, to Aremid, to Paris were my favorite years on the show. Yes parts of it were over the top, but thats not why I liked them. They were well told storys that had themes, character development, and for those who could look beyond the gimmicks, had real DEPTH.
1997 was still bearable, but since 1998 the show really started to lose its glamour. I personally think J&M's 1999 wedding was the last good event in Days.
I totally agree. The latter half of 1997 was when DAYS completely changed in terms of storyline direction and the characters they focused on. It also got too ridiculous on a much more cheesy level.
true. I stopped watching the show in 2004 - at that time Australia was 4 years behind the U.S series, then in September 2004 we were only a few months behind the U.S series, too many changes to keep up with and the storylines were just silly. Aremid was one of my favourites, I was only in the ninth grade when it was on TV here in Australai.
OMG, These episodes are so exciting! I was up untill 3am watching them! Thank you so very much for posting them!!!
