@MrSYSTEM20 You're right, it's an Akai AX80. Indeed it's a lovely synth. Great fat analog sound, and highly underrated. Although it does have it's limits, such as it doesn't have a noise generator, or a decent sounding ring mod. But instead, it has three LFOs with two separately assignable to each of the VCOs, plus another hidden one for PWM. So as you can hear, it does quite a nice job without the aid of an outboard chorus, as it has it's own full sound.
@studio35d you left out that it weighs a flippin ton..LOL..naw, it was a bit on the heavy side...I miss my AX80 and I have vowed to myself that someday I'll have another one...I had an AX80 in 1987 ( now you know how old I am LOL ) and I had so much fun on that synth..well take care....enjoyed your track..and look forward to hearing more.
@studio35d oh dear, that's a shame but the MBP is a beautiful machine too. My PB is still going strong, after I bought it in October 2003, it's now in it's 8th year of life, albeit with a new battery.... I'd like a new machine myself though, but I need to sell some music first :-)
great performance. thanks for real live music that day.
glad i was there!!

I don't think I ever got a really good look, but is that an AKAI AX80 on top ?
has to be...it was my first synth and I loved it.

Hey Rene, nice track! Looking forward to your next album! But ehh, is that a Macbook Pro behind you, what happened to the Powerbook? ;-) Koos

@k2kkoos Thanks Koos. That's right, it's a MBP. The old PowerBook fried itself. After 6 joyful years it decided that it had enough of its life.
