Not really. Directly before the absorption of Gohan, Goku was kickin' piccolo-Buu's butt (Gotenks' fusion ran out, remember), and afterwards both SSJ3Goku and SSJ2Vegeta couldn't touch him. Vegito is this powerful because he's a Potara earring fusion-the TRUE fusion(I seem to remember the manga Elder Kai at one point actually calling the fusion dance a 'cheap knock-off' or something). Not to mention, Vegito is a fusion of a SSJ3 and SSJ2.
