(@ bigballerdave) It's Power Metal, or Symphonic metal if you prefer. Epics (never heard from EpiX :S) are type of songs, like ballads ans such. Mostly, it change according to lyrics and the song's veat. I'm no expert and I assume most of what I said is wrong. Only thing I'm sure about is that this IS POWER METAL.

this band is great no doubt there. But the best power metal band is Iron Maiden. I'm not a big fan of labeling anything the "best" of anything, but when it comes to a more rare type of metal (like power metal) Iron maiden reigns supreme.  They are the founding father of power metal and the largest most popular and well known band of any other power metal out there. If you disagree, all i ask is that you listen to the Brave New World album. You will see the light.
