I got a roll of dimes one time at the bank to look for silver ones. I looked at the bottom dime and I saw a mint mark on the back and realized I had found a silver dime! I was so happy.
Never seen a Hawian Dime. Thats awesome! Now I gotta get one of those. I did randomly find a One Centavo Penny, that reads United States Of America on the front. And has Phillipines on the back.
where do you work where you can pick through the register? i got a 1926 standing liberty quarter from Goodwill, and a 1945 silver quarter. Thats all I've ever really found though.
@revensapprentice77 a good way to get old coins is ask when you go into a store or a bank ..... i get alot that way after they get to know you they'll save them for you

Even though they are referred to as Mercury dimes the bust is not that of Mercury. I'd rather not say anything much further on that note so that I don't make people ruminate much about a rather obtuse concern but Mercury dimes are well famed in the numismatic world most notably for the 1916D specimens of any grade including G-4.
if you want to collect coins but need some sort of guide lines...you need to buy a "Red Book". It has info and prices on all of the us coins. Its really good.
It is great to have a red book to see what is out there, but the prices are not accurate at all as it takes two years to get the current edition in print.
hey im a expert at coin collecting and im only 13. its not often you find someone who collects coins and knows wat thier talking aboutwhen it comes to coins. and you seem to know wat your talking about so i wouldlike to talk to you (over youtube) please commet back.
im 14 and before i even started collecting i researched for 2 months, and i dont consider myself an expert. Dont label yourself an expert until you have years of experience and reaserch to back it up.
I just started collecting coins i have almost all of the canadian small pennies and i didnt buy any of them i just fiund them i think that is more fun then buying coins throwing them in a book and saying ohh look what i got.
Years to watch for are 16d,21,21d,26s,31d, theirs also a couple 42 errors to watch for. But to answer you exact question the 1916d is worth the most, well over $600 in poor shape.
its not worth all that much you could probably sell on ebay for 2 or 3 dollars...now the 1916 mercury dime is worth around 2,500-3,000dollars (if its not dounterfit)
I have seen all your videos. U have a great collection, i wish mine was as big. Also, do u know how much the 100 state quarter collection books will be worth in the future? Mine is almost filled up and i will probably have all of them in 2009 or something.
A common Mercury Dime in circulated condition has a silver content value of approximately $1.35 , Common Uncirculated Mercury Dimes in an uncirculated condition can be purchased from $10 to $15.00 , Scarcer Uncirculated Years can go from above $10 to several $100.00 dollars.
i have a mercery dime i got it from change but how u get all ur mercry dimse and silver 25c and u know noise from the silver u like i love that to get 2 silver dollars and drop 1 on the othere
If it is P or S mint in average shape it is worth $7-$20. EF-40 or better is worth much more. And if it is the O mint (New Orleans) then it is worth even more than that.
Yep I checked and it's an S mint dime in fairly good condition. I think I'll hang-on to it for a bit longer ;D Thanks for your help and keep up the great work!
hey guys i have a 1853 coin from france parshly cleaned and i was just wondering if anyone knew how much i could get for it. if you do plz mail me on my account. thnks
The price of the coin depends on the rarity, they year it was printed, the material it is made of, the denomination of it, the grade quality of it, and whether it was cleaned or not. Take it to a coin dealer and ask how much it would cost.
