I think that Tmax Window has stolen code from ReactOS and Wine :( The FSF is gonna be really mad when this gets released.

We'd have to wait and see for this one. As for creativity, they took the most practical route. Since over 99% of Koreans use Windows, it doesn't make sense to create an alternative that isn't very compatible, including the aspect of usability. 5+ years ago, Korean gov't had actively promoted Linux only to be squashed by Microsoft ad campaign, and if it indeed is true that over 350+ had worked around the clock for 4 years, then it is quite possible that they have a perfectly legitimate product.

After going through all 7 videos, I realized that this is a UI plagiarism at its best, and it seems to be somewhat buggy. I just hope they'd respect the open source licensing at least and earn some respect in the F/OSS community. I can't tell whether or not they used ReactOS or Wine as codebase, so I'll just take their words for it for now.

As for the Tmax Window, I think they're great - they do nothing at all (yet another low-quality clone) and, I believe, have status of national project and get financed by government :)
