The reason they won't let her sleep in the afternoon is because her sleeping schedule has been messed up and she has been sleeping late. Therefore, they keep her up during the DAY so she can sleep at NIGHT at the correct time. This is NOT torture, they're just creating a way so she can change her sleeping schedule. She will still get a great amount of sleep at night because of this. ^^
