thanks a lot! i say that the procedure is a little confusing because you create an 'aux input' when you in fact need a buss channel... if you re familiar with a real mixer, this is a little not very intuitive... :)

becaus the the bus tracks themselves have no sound signal at all. only if you enable solo on the tracks, that are routed into the bus track you'll hear something, because only then the other tracks send something into the bus track, so the bus gets some signal.

Why doesn't the solo button work on the aux track?

Try Control/Command-clicking or right-clicking the solo button on your group Aux track. This puts it in 'solo safe' mode and makes it independent of global soloing (ie; it will always be unmuted even if you solo another track in the session, unless you do it directly on the Aux itself).

Do you have any info on using video within PT LE8? I'm using a quad-core PC with 4G Ram. Every video formated imported has a different effect during playback. Quicktime has one file in pitch and the othe audio file about 5 octaves lower than it's supposed to be. Please, what's the standard PC configuration for doing post sound in PTLE8 sucsessfuly? To ensure stability from one session to the next...
