  • First tank ever built? since the end of the cold war and with new research coming from russian historians, it can be argued that the first vehicle that could be called a tank, was the Vezdekhod, a small tracked vehicle with a crew of two, it was designed to have a turret, only one prototype was built and didn't go into production, but Vezdekhod appeared several months before little willie. Most records of this vehicle were lost during the russian civil war, but it appears this was the first tank

  • i wish they brought that tank back to life. its been a hundred years

  • i went to the museum he is at and it was awsome :)

  • I just had to dislike it XD

  • Truly a marvel of the 20th century i am glad the british kept such a great piece of

    engineering and vehicular technology

  • finally,a video without dislike i found

  • Brilliant! Stopped by the tank museum on Sunday, had a very nice time.

  • I've been to that Museum twice. Its called Bovington tank museum

  • First tank was made in Riga, Russia at Riga train factory, before the war. However it was quickly abandoned and vanished from history and now Britons claim that they made the first tank.

  • @Gogar88 that's because we did make the first tank.

  • @TheAdamReeve And we made the first atomic bomb. Get off your high horse, because its really just a small pony.

  • @badboy4202 Wow. Bringing instant destruction to thousands of buildings and people, causing countless more deaths by radiation sickness and cancer. Congratulations.

  • @TheAdamReeve Wow, you made a tracked jeep with armor. Congradulations.

  • @TheAdamReeve It's called WAR. Japan attacked America and America ended the war and saved millions of lives. By 1945, our bombers were so numerous, we could have bombed Japan for 10 years. If you don't want to stand behind America, by all means, stand in front of it.

  • @freewill51 america did not end the war! i hate how people say that america single handedly ended the war, dont forget that pretty much every other country had to go through 2 world wars whereas america had only fought 5 years worth in both ww1 and ww2. i cant be arsed to write anymore so, FUCK YOU!

    BITCH!

  • @Gogar88 First tank was designed by Leonardo. Don't flatter yourself

  • @OVERKILLxxPro An armored vehicle design (outside), was not the same as actually building a trench crosser/buster, that could deal with the mud and artillery scars of no man's land. Never mind the weapons and engine.

Learn the difference, and grow little boy.

  • @clearlogicify Yeah but we were originally talking about who made something clarified as a 'tank', not about what you are saying. You are correct yes but not in the context of the discussion. P.S. I'm 18

  • @Gogar88 And why did the Latvians start building a tank?

  • @Prod1Kh It was not technically Latvians, just Russians on the Latvian soil, because we were part of it. They released only one model called Bat but then saw it useless as it often happen with Russians. But they builded and tested in Riga, Latvia. But British actually made first tank that was usable so honor goes to them.

  • Amazing :)

  • never knew that the little willy tank was designed with a turret

  • what is that tank called at 3:03??

  • @ArabDragonArtist93 behind him??

  • @ArabDragonArtist93

You mean the the full grey one, it seems like a renault FT-17 or at least something very similair to it.

  • @ArabDragonArtist93 russian ms-1 ans usa t1 cunningham

  • @ArabDragonArtist93 First tank is a French Renault FT, the next is a Mark A Whippet(ignore Idragonheart, he`s been playing 2 much World of Tanks)

  • the name tank wasn't attached to this new type of vehicle until, the first british tanks were deployed to mainland europ, where they picked up the name fom being transported in water tanks to hide them from the Germans. so this cant be the first tank.

  • @VeeDubBigBird The name tank was chosen as a security measure to conceal the true nature of the machine. since they were riveted boxes basically, it was thought that calling them tanks, as in water tanks, agricultural water carriers, would be easy to sell.

  • Thanks, great vid. Very informative.

  • thats bullshit the first tank was a motercicle with a lmg on the side car

  • @jasson4197 - A motorcylce with an lmg on the side is just that - a motorcycle with an lmg on the side... and by definition, not a tank!

  • Comment removed

  • @whikless yes, we do think we're the best! but.... what has that got to do with your witless (pun intended) attack on jason4197 for having an opinion. and...why do you assume one yank represents all americans?? what are you about 6 or 7? what word does "cor" represent?? bless your little IQ challenged brain...have a good day, whikless, witless, dickless . take your pick///

  • @unwyrd1 I'm sorry, I don't no why such unjustified anger came over me. You are right, it is a very stupid and unfair thing of me to say to anyone about anything.

My apologies to both of you.

  • @jasson4197 You clearly don't know what you're talking about

  • @jasson4197 Definition of a tank: An enclosed armored military vehicle, has a cannon that moves on caterpillar tracks. I don't think a motorbike and sidecar with a machine gun attached really count, do you?

  • @jasson4197 I know that early tanks didn't have cannons, which by your logic would make them not tanks. But the important thing is that they were all capable of being fitted with them. The only reason Little Willie wasn't fitted with one was because it was just a prototype. And there were two versions of the Mark I; one which had twin cannons, and one with machine guns.
