That's very expected. It's a phone camera, they don't have the room to install al of the hardware needed to make clear picture. You're just going to have to try and stick to out in daylight.

I personally like the 5530 better, at least its design.

Now I'm watching reviews which one to get 5800 or 5530. :P I don't use 3G, I just need WiFi, so I guess I will choose 5530. And 5530 it's not for e.g. half the price of the 5800, it is cheaper with $40. That just doesn't matter imo.

well i was wondering which phone to get between Samsung B3410 and Nokia 5530 XpressMusic but then when i checked and copmared both of them the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic was the best one but i like the messeging key board from Samsung B3410... now i've made my decission and i will get the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic after watching the vedio of it .... over all it looks good and it will be a good gift for christmass! can't wait till i get it..... cheers.

I can answer one of your questions archerLS,when you ring someone or they ring you when you answer it the phone becomes not touch sensitive so if your ear touches it it won't like end the call. :}

these are all lies!! i have this phone and the touch screen in gr8! its better than the iphone and any other touch screen phones!!nothing will happen if your ear touches the touch screen but get it away from the close and open signs. you can change the picture of the main screen dont worry!! and the messege tone COULD be changed. easy as a pie!!

About ear touching the screen there is a sensor...when its near something when calling display turns itself off.Yes you can change bacground picture and message tone!

you all people are right but the thing that u r not concentrating on is that the 5800 looks so old and that the 5530 looks really so cool and funky even thoughit does not have a flash of two camers its still a very nice phone! i have the 5530 and it works gr8ly !!! i would recomend the 5530 if any one would like to buy a nokia touch phone

Not only the lack of 3G... the picture Q of 5800 is better. It has 2x flash, TV output (5530 doesn't), it has Hi-FI stereo speaker, also it has HSDPA and 5530 DOESN'T :D It also has GPS and the screen is 3.2 inchs and 5530 has only 2.9. And it comes with a free 8GB memory card (5530 comes with 4GB). Also 5800 can hold for 407 hours and 5530 can hold 351 :| You make conclusions. Also you can throw the kinetic scrilling function of 5530 because 5800 with "MyPhone" get's even better scrolling :)

Hi. You make some valid points, both are great phones. The picture quality is actually BETTER on the 5530 because it has the same res but on a smaller screen (more DPI). The camera quality seems to be the same. Speakers are infact louder and clearer on 5530 but everything else you say is very true. They are both decent phones, I don't want to argue which one is better. Let's agree that we both have phones which are better than the iPhone! Cheers :-)
