Holding a civil trial for this terrorist is a gigantic mistake in two ways. First, I don't see why the mastermind is entitled to the same rights as an American citizen including a jury trial. A military tribunal would be sufficient. Second, as Bob points out, there is a very good chance this guy will go free. Why? Let's see, he could say he can't get a fair trial in NYC, that he was abused, that he didn't have Miranda rights, etc. Then he goes free?

Actually, there is a REAL chance that these guys could walk. Isn't it jury coercion by having a major capital murder trial held in the same area in which the crime was committed?
