Most Canadians are appalled by this proposed pipeline, super-tanker transport, and basically the continued push to expand the dirty, filthy bitumen oil production in the mid-west. We stand beside the First Nations - arm and arm against this development and any others like it in future. Harper and his Cons are not our legitimate governing body and they have no right to sell our country out in this way.
What the hell is this, another North of 60 movie. I may not know a lot about it because i am from the East, but come on. If this makes Canada better in terms of exports, and all the profits, why would you do disagree. Because it might hurt the land? Com'on. Is it because the Native commuity not getting a cut? Maybe the Native community should start paying ALL taxes like me, I am Canadian, aren't you?
@aTnavarrow i think you have it backwards, it's native greed, the first nations people always "oppose" until the dollar amount they are holding out for comes up, then they will burn through all that and "oppose" again until they get more.
50 -100 jobs with all this risk? China already owns the tarsands. Billions in eco tourism and salmon are at risk not to mention the entire Hiada coast, which is the most unpredictable treacherous waters on the planet. Enbridge is responsible for over 800 oil spills, one just yesterday. Clean energy jobs surpassed all fossil fuel jobs combined in the US. 360 000 barrels of oil are used daily by US WAR. Our "leader" is the son of an oil baron and "fully supports" Israel if they att ack Iran. 2+2+4
@kimhunter2 Billions in eco tourism? Billions? I am an accountant and knows what a billion dollars is - but I guess it sounds like a neat number to use. Perhaps you should work our some basic math before making this claim. PS - China currently has a minimal stake in the Oilsands. By the way, dozens of supertakers already ship oil daily from Alaska to the lower 48 states - no one seems to care about this possible disaster. Your concerns are real but get your facts straight.
Allow me to rephrase my statement --- Why not REFINE the CRUDE oil into finished gasoline and other complete FUELS in Edmonton and then TRANSPORT the refined fuel to ports for export.
I'm sure that CONSUMERS of REFINED OIL would pay a HIGHER price!
@durwinpocha Are you stupid or just retarded? You can not transport refined oil like gasoline, it breaks down. Transport must be the crude oil and to oppose Canadian exports of oil is to oppose Canada and her future. The first nations people are just taking money from the rich Americans that do not want to see our oil go to China.
Smarten up and start thinking about our country and not just your own greedy lust for money.
notice to a stupid old man, there are all kind of additives you can add to gasoline to make it last for years in storage and a perfectly good railway system to move what ever you want to move. Your pipeline idea stinks just as much as your negative attitude.
@durwinpocha: That is already done and the Oil and refined products are transported from Edmonton to Vancouver by way of the Kinder Morgan ( Transmountian Pipeline ) that is engineered to carry 300,000 barrels a day of either Crude Oil(s) or refined petroleum products by way of "batch pumping"
They want to expand the system to 600,000 barrels per day and there is lots of opposition to that proposed expansion already.
Either way the increased oil production needs to be delivered
@durwinpocha lazy ? how about controlled by consumers such as yourself . you are the stupid one who is consuming thus making a corrupt system thrive off of dirty money . your lack of education shows .
@moist182 I am well aware that making a comment takes time and effort ...I'm curious as to why you would choose to use your 'time and effort ' in making such a statement ...feel free to consider this a rhetorical question
I am in agreement with keeping BC lands as free as possible ,,,oil slick free too
this video speaks clearly "First Nations Opposition..." ...I do consider myself of native background yet a 'citizen of the earth' ...'terrestrial being' seems more fitting ...living and working together
the time to stop the proposed pipeline project is now in the proposeal stage
we are First Nations or Natives to you ! We love working! drilling , minning, ect ..and if you dont understand whats at risk, r-e-a-d and w-a-t-c-h s-l-o-w-l-y

Why do CANADIANS want to sell raw CRUDE OIL?
Why do CANADIANS want to sell raw LOGS?
Are Canadians too lazy or stupid to process their own RAW MATERIALS what is the reason?
