  • Thank you this was so helpful, I never knew wheat grass was high in sugar! Do you recommend cooked grain over sprouted for energy and why? My guess is sprouted would be better, but cooked is more practical.

  • Raw Foods is this the new and improved expert investigation of products you promised us after the Adya Clear recall? I mean this guy says, he looked around the internet, read some books & talked to raw food leaders and this makes him an expert in B-12, how? I mean how can we just take some guys word for something he is going to profit from? I just don't understand, Matt who puts on these raw food videos, does not appear healthy at all, he looks stoned. BLOCKED BY THERAWFOODS

  • If you're getting all the nutrients you need, how can the body not get the nutrients your body needs. Contradiction.

  • besides raw food i also take a large amount of vitamins...

  • Exactly i always have this kind of problem of feeling tired ... Hope now it will help me

  • why not eat a teaspoon of honey when they feel tired?

  • Today I had raw rolled oats mixed with milk and stevia. It keeps me full for a long time and gives me plenty of energy. And it tast pretty good.

  • We are humans and we are not design to digest greens. Thats why lots of people don't get energy. I tried this kind of diet for about to weeks and if didn't stop and returned to normal would have definetly died after another 2 weeks. A lot of things that we find in the supermarkets did not exist a mere 100 years ago like apples they were artificialy created to have good taste wild apples taste horible. Most greens are poisonous for us. Lots of vitamins in meat and we don't need to eat grass

  • @dustington1

Not to mention a lot of these raw food diets recommend you incorporate exotic, non-native produce like papayas, avocados, coconuts, and all sorts of tree nuts. Things which most human populations never had abundant access to.

  • @dustington1 I think that may be a little harsh, but imo its somewhat true... I don't think there's any need for meat to be healthy, but our history as homosapien probably did eat quite a bit of it. I tried a diet like this for a month or two, at first I felt fine, but very quickly my athletic performance started to drop quite rapidly. Eventually I became tired and constipated and gave up. I think raw foods may be good for healing certain conditions, or maybe for sedentary people, but for

  • @frodosauce ...most people who are active, I don't think its a practical long term solution...

  • People have to incorporate daily protein sources to feel good. Greens and veggies yes, but must incorporate plant protein sources daily. Chlorella, spirulina, nuts, seeds, sprouts, sprouted beans. You have to have either sugars or fats, low fruit intake is fine, but must have fats for the body to create ketones as an alternate brain and body fuel source. High fruit intake leads to high triglycerides. You cannot consume high amounts of fats, nuts, or seeds because they are very filling.

  • I got started 3 days ago and i have absolutelly NO ENERGY what so ever! i´m going high fruit cause its spring over here... its driving me nuts cause no matter how much i sleep i´m always tired

  • oh yeah, wheatgrass is the most ALIVE thing you can buy in the health food store.

  • i just figured out, that raw foods doesn't mean it ALIVE. nuts are raw but don't sprout and most are heated, which means DEAD. even fresh produce are only 75% alive. get them right when they come in and organic. fruits and vegetables will work, but nuts and vegetables WON"T work. because nuts are HEATED/DEAD. LOW SUGAR FRUITS AND GREENS THATS IT.

  • I eat up to 70 large ripe sugar filled bananas per day and stay super fit/lean all year round.

  • @durianriders if you eat up to 100 bananas a day and run you can start building up flight energy. then after about 20 years of consecutive 100 bananas a day you can start to fly. that's how great a raw food diet is.

  • @durianriders lolz agreed. it's not because of wheat grass, wow.

  • Sugar is converted into fat. I am on a low glycemic diet for the most part. I mean that I limit my intake of fruits. Meaning three dates instead of a bag full. ..and not everyday. A whole cantalope. When you body is healing..low glycemic is especially good. In general, too much fruit is not good. I love buckwheat groats, quinoa, sardines. I eat all raw veggies except tomatos. TONS OF ENERGY.

  • Surely recommending ANY as a fuel is bad advice. And saying "fat is fat" is such a narrow sighted statement. Fructose is the only thing that makes you fat. Fat doesn't store as body fat when consumed in the presence of no sugar. I'm up for trying raw food, but I worry that there are so many ill informed upholders of the raw food beliefs.

  • p.s. is papaya good? I found that or bananas or dates, that is all i have found so far on "carb" raw sources. This info does not really seem easily available.

  • I would love your help as nobody seems to be talking about what carbs one eats on raw foods? I have read you need to eat fruits but nobody says which ones and more importnatly how much? dates? carrots? I know some peopel who want to try raw food for a week coming up and lets hope it more long term instead of just a week! Thanks so much for any help or videos on this as I can't find info on that.

  • Please I need your help what do you think about powdered wheat grass in health food store?

  • Thanks for another great lesson.

  • That was very helpfull, thanks a lot! It seems that I have a sugar issue. It seems that my energy and concentration deep after eating fruit. And I can't handle the high fat either. Feel hesitant about going back to cooked grains and veg. I'll give it a try. Thanks again

  • Yay GREENS!!!

I prefer spelt or barley grass juice - wheatgrass makes me retch.

I used to eat too many nuts .. way too many, it felt very clogging. Half a cup total each day is all I will do now. I also add maybe 1-2 tbs of good oils (coconut/olive)

Raw definitely gives more energy ... when I am *good* I need less sleep and my mind is clear.

  • You're so sweet :) I really agree with the last part of your discussion: you need to listen to your body in order to make sure it's getting the proper foods to sustain it. It you're eating too much/too little of even a raw food, it can cause all sorts of issues. When I think about going raw, I think about a balance between fruits, greens and legumes.

    Great vid!

  • thanks that helps ; )

  • thats a great lesson!!!!

  • Greens Make a difference!!
