i would rather study in a not-so-famous or no-rank-college-univ in Japan,China, USA, Singapore, UK, Canada or anywhere in this world...rather than this Ateneo-whatever-college/univ....how can you live in country called the Philippines full of corrupt politicians, squatters, snatchers, prostitutes, japayukis, call center agents, nurses and physical therapists, typhoons, flood, pollution, ...not to mention....worst airports...what a pity!!!
Come on guys! Let's not argue about which is the better school. We all know that The Ateneo and UP are two of the most excellent schools in the Philippines and mere numbers such as rankings and positions shouldn't matter. It is a proven fact that these two schools offer outstanding education so there's really no need to fight. Peace and Animo Ateneo! :D
Our president, Fr. Bienvenido F. Nebres, SJ, already said last October, that they are not speaking for the school, but as individual persons. So that means Even Ateneo supports the Holy Roman Catholic Church in its mission to protest against RH bill. Its like for example: a school (eg. UST) makes a choice that you reject, so you choose the opposite. Of course, you're a Thomasian, but it doesn't necessarily mean that what decision you make quickly reflects the whole school.

Chill. Why does "what is the best school in RP?" have to be an issue with you guys all the time? In Ateneo, they teach us to be responsible leaders and to contribute to the development of our nation. I think everyone should have this mindset, whether one is from the Ateneo, UP, or any other school in the Philippines. We should be competitive but we shouldn't be pulling down one another. Gee, this is why we've been third world for so long...

well,,,, the THES-QS which said that ateneo is the top university in the philippines is not credible,,,,, the UP(Unibersidad ng Pilipinas) did not partcipate the said university evaluation...... which the TIMES MAGAZINE uses the past year evaluation of UP....with reagarding to this evaluation the TIMES have offered a higher place for UP,, if UP can give them thousand $ bucks which is equivalent to 2million pesos,,Nagbayad cguro ang ateneo kay sila umangat,heheheh check the UP systems website..
