They really nailed it at Jaguar. The engine takes a real gigantic leap...this is V12 Merc compressorpower being overhauled folks...

The aluminium lightweight does the rest...and it looks fantastic too..

Both beautiful cars...think a Jag's still a little more exclusive. And this shows it also gives the owner confidence to take on the ever fast high tech German big spaceships, and not be dissapointed.

Would almost buy this car from this vid alone...if I could but I can't but it's okay:)

Rtingdds, the video he's referring to spent exist, the XFR v SL600 is odd, the XF loses 'just' but the XKR when up against the same SL600 wins pretty convincingly. Know the XK is aluminium but suprised there's this much between them.

I saw the XFR & SL600 video before. What I was talking about is SL AMG beating the XKR 5.0. Never saw one before.

About this video, SL600 is 600 lb heavier (like carring 3 extra passengers), with almost the same hps & 5 gears vs 6 gears(better choice of gear), slower gear shift vs super fast shift. Not hard to figure out the result. By the way, SL600 is already slightly faster than SL55 in 1/4 mile; I used to be a "AMG power" guy, until I owned SL55 and not very impressed with it

I had a SL55 AMG before & now a XKR. Trust me, XKR is definitely faster & way lighter. Much better built & way way more reliable then my SL55AMG. The gear changes on the XKR is sick fast!

I have a hard time finding the video you described, please post a link for me(are you sure they are 2010 xkr?? because 2009 XKR only can in 420 hp).

SL 55 & 65 weighted ~400lb & ~650lb more the the 2010 XKR, the new SL 63 is ~500lb more than XKR. They are very chubby cars. Over all XKR is a much better car than my SL55 before, and I know both car extremely well, because I own & had owned them before. I was very disappointed at the AMG from my experience & I was a fan before

The SL600 is not a V-12 bi-turbo as stated in the car descriptions, but a normal yet potent regular V-12. The SL65 AMG has the V-12 bi-turbo which punches out 605 HP...not the 510 HP claimed in the video.

It is annoying, because the Benz is a turbo car, and it needs to br driven correct to ensure 100% top performance.... But hey, this is a cruiser. Try a C63 next time.
