It's not strange, my friend ;) We kids from the 80s were saturated with a wave of cartoons and toys that no other generation had or will have because we were plugged into Saturday morning cartoons & after-school cartoons (with heavy advertising). My generation saw cartoons based on toys (and not the other way around) for the first time (ie) He-man. There is a huge sense of nostalgia that kids of the 80s (and late 70s) have because we are the Saturday-morning-cartoon generation.

IESB.net is reporting that Peter Cullen has been confirmed as Optimus Prime for the live action movie today at Comic-Con. We are awaiting further confirmation from Comic-Con attendees. So take this as rumor for now. We will update as soon as we hear more.

UPDATE: Tony Bacala just called to report that this was just confirmed at the Dreamworks panel and that there was a recording of Cullen that they played.
