Answering to his question about the mac dock. He said that the mac has only symbols. Well, I'm a designer and i know that following the Gestalt theory. Those "symbols" that represents each apps and programs, are already in the mind of the users, so if he see it, he already knows that it's that one. I really don't believe that a user would use a computer with programs that he doesn't know what it is. If you use firefox or chrome you know that symbol, and what it represents. (Part 1)
But you know. everyone has his on opinion. I like Mac more than Pc. To work with graphics, video, audio, photos, 3D and animation is way more better because of the high performance that the software combined with the hardware gives you. For games most of the peoples still are going to the PC because of more games avaliable, even if the graphic quality in the Mac is still better because of the LED screen and other stuffs. If Pc users are happy with it ok... we're happy with our Macs! =D

apparently this fat douche has never used vista because its just an icon on the taskbar. at least OS X tells you what it is when you hover over it quickly.

Win7 also has hover over for the task bar, it bring up miniatures of the programs (and tabs per program).. kind of like exposé merged with alt-tab
The idea is that in windows, I don't have to hover over my icons. I can see the name of the program instance, so for instance if i have 5 file folders open, I don't have to check each folders name by hovering.

Only someone as dense as the fag who made this video would not be able to tell what an icon on the dock is. Once you open a folder in Finder, or even just open Finder, everything has it's associated name with it as well.

OK, so if you have NEVER used a computer in your entire life, you will figure out how to use a Mac instantly. It's not like you have symbols and no text what-so-ever in the entire operating system. I've used Macs and PC before I think they are both great in their own way. No complaints or anything because it's not hard to use or learn how to use. I enjoy PCs for their variety of gaming and I enjoy Macs for video editing. But everyone has their own opinions and that's great.
There are 2 very good reasons you can't put the dock at the top of the screen.
1) The menu bar is located at the top of the screen. You should not stack these, because
2) your mouse can never leave your screen canvas. Thus, placing the menu bar and the dock at a screen edge increases the target area of the buttons tenfold, making them a lot easier to access. You can just fling your mouse into the general direction and you will always land where you want.
At 2:45 you still have to go through them until you have the right symbol.
At 4:20, ya I really need that crap spamming up my desktop.
At 5:24, you would want to put it on the top for many reasons, just because the bottom is your preference it doesnt mean that is the only way it should go.

First of all, problems with the camera is only a little hardware problem which can be fixed by apple.
Not every program starts with i. iLife consists of garageband not igarageband. What about mail? imail? The dashboard is not called idashboard. iFinder? iSpotlight?
The dock is very handy because it just shows the programs open and on windows it's like when you group program windows together.
because just use spotlight and search the program and the first result will be the program. If you want a list, go to your applications folder.
And the circles to quit programs is complete crap, if you hover over them they show you that the red one is the cross to close the program, yellow is to minimize it in the dock and green is the maximize the window size and to close is file>quit otherwise the program stays open but has no windows.

Adding to the point made about the Dock using symbols, the icons used in Windows are all 48x48 pixels wide, making the pictures very distorted. Each icon on the Mac uses 128x128 pixel Dock icons making them all look beautiful, and full 512x512 pixel icons in Coverflow/Quicklook that let's you read the text on the Textedit application. I absolutely love the Mac icons, and using Photoshop, I actually make larger versions of the icons for Windows programs that I use on my Mac.

OK, so if you have NEVER used a computer in your entire life, you will figure out how to use a Mac instantly. It's not like you have symbols and no text what-so-ever in the entire operating system. They just figure if you use Safari everyday, you're bound to remember the symbol! And if you don't you hover your mouse over it. They have symbols to save space, and I think it works well. If you are not a complete dumbass, you can figure out that a symbol means 'internet' and another means 'mail'.

And saying you have to guess most of the time with the colors for closing minimizing and zooming the window is just stupid! Okay red is often a negative color, think traffic lights red means stop so red on a mac would be logicall to mean close, yellow ok i suppose there isnt a way to know what it does by just looking at it and that goes for the green one too, but after the first time youve done it you ought to remember!

I know what I have open, in a better way than on Windows. 7 not counted as the taskbar on 7 is SUCH A RIPOFF. Plus, Ps uses the blue Ps icon, no leaves here. Dock has so many problems. Umm, it has? I've used Macs and PC before I think they are both great in their own way. No complaints or anything because it's not hard to use or learn how to use. I enjoy PCs for their variety of gaming and I enjoy Macs for video editing. But everyone has their own opinions and that's great.

One more thing (;)):
There are 2 very good reasons you can't put the dock at the top of the screen.
1) The menu bar is located at the top of the screen. You should not stack these, because
2) your mouse can never leave your screen canvas. Thus, placing the menu bar and the dock at a screen edge increases the target area of the buttons tenfold, making them a lot easier to access. You can just fling your mouse into the general direction and you will always land where you want.

This guy is so wrong in soo many ways and he comes up with the worst excuses.
First of all, problems with the camera is only a little hardware problem which can be fixed by apple.
Not every program starts with i. iLife consists of garageband not igarageband. What about mail? imail? The dashboard is not called idashboard. iFinder? iSpotlight?
The dock is very handy because it just shows the programs open and on windows it's like when you group program windows together.
Who needs lists of programs

because just use spotlight and search the program and the first result will be the program. If you want a list, go to your applications folder.
And the circles to quit programs is complete crap, if you hover over them they show you that the red one is the cross to close the program, yellow is to minimize it in the dock and green is the maximize the window size and to close is file>quit otherwise the program stays open but has no windows.
You can customize the docks, download library packs from

I´m a Gamer and therefore i´m a Windows User. Beeing a Gamer is a question of attitude.You need Quests and Goals to accomplish and i think Windows is the far more exciting System. OS X is so boring. Windows is fun. I just spend 6 hours to get my XP and my Vista PC to see each other in network. THAT was exciting, I guess with Macs it would simply have worked from the start, how boring.
