Much has changed in Rotherham as in England communities have lost the closeness like when I was a lad people look at you as if you have got two heads if you offer to do something for them alas most of the good places in Roth have either been knocked down or have shut and those buildings that remain are converted into night clubs ! Rotherham has no character it's just another town like any other
Now live in Lincolnshire and this vid is the Rotherham I grew up in and what I remember when I speak of the old place. Visit regularly and cant believe whats happened there, its even scarey. Thanks for the memories

Rotherham is a shithole thanks to a white lady called Margaret Thatcher who closed all your factories. All u bitter white folks now living on social need to pull your heads out of your each other arses and stop blaming the immigrants for your miserable slow death.I left rotherham years ago and did well in life instead of f.cking whinging like u lot.
I was born in Rotherham in 1941. There was a sense of 'belonging' of 'caring' that I, sadly, saw beginning to disappear. I am happy when I look back, nostalgically for these days long since gone - never to return. Grammar School, The Regent, Hippodrome, Advertiser,Sitwell Arms (Whiston),Jazz at the Cranworth and the New Broom - Thanks to Dave Brennan, Bugs, Gerry and the band! I now live in retirement abroad but vow to visit once more before I 'pop my clogs'! My love to dear old Rotherham!
i don't know it just has turned into a pit full of young hoodlums migrants and wasters but then i blame that to the local council moving them in nice comunity and watching them fall apart!
Great pictures of my great town. Great people, great place, great countryside, even though we've been de-industrialised. Can't say any more, except thank you for taking the time to share this with us. God Bless You flamegrill.
That is a wonderful collection of pictures put to music so well, it was smashing to see all the old scenes of Rotherham again. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING IT.
