Hey, this stuff looks pretty good!! I'm relatively new to using the Redrock with an HVX, and I find it hard to light for it. How did you get all of those nice low light shots??
your videos are a great demonstration of why one should hire a good DP (meaning you are a great DP lol) . I'm 16 and although I will do my best to learn all the technical aspects of cinematography, it always scares me. Knowing that people like you are out there with talent puts my mind at ease and focused on story
Nice work - reminded me of lost in translation! Just wondered how awkward it is to handle the camera once it's rigged up? Can your focus hand take any of the weight, and how much heavier is the camera when the m2 is attatched (I don't expect figures, just 'twice as heavy' would do!) Thanks.
HVX 200 is just awful in low light period. That's why panasonic has a new model called hvx 200A. According to panasonic it solves the low light problems. Jury is still out there.
Great footage! I was thinking about getting the movietube junior for my hvx but this definitely beats waiting for them to get their production line ready. Although the only thing that may be worth the wait is the fact that the movietube doesn't need a battery and the image is not reversed.
stunning photography...im on the fence with the redrock but after seeing this i dont even know...did you do anything in post/ mess with the chroma or such...looks so good...the song is great too
only a few shots have had any post just to lift some levels. otherwise 90% is raw. Obviously knowing my own rig and having it configured to how I like to shoot makes the difference. Also I'm a fan of FD glass, I do believe it creates a different look
The stuff you've uploaded has persuaded me to grab either the redrock or the SGpro. You've definitely shot the best 35mm adapter footage i've seen yet. Are your shorts just for test footage, or are you working on something bigger?
This video should have an HD option my dude,

BEST BEST BEST! Beautiful picture with M2 and also well shot :-) I have to watch it all the time and this persuades me to buy this adapter.

Looks awsome, will you post your scene file settings? Or is it a trade secret? I have the same setup by the way, just with Nikon glass.

Oh, and what's your take on the letus35mm extreme? Please share with me, what you have to say. That'd be awesome.

I agree. The low light scenes are a bit crappy. The day light scenes are amazing.

so the 200a and 205a are the same camera right?

i have the same setup..images look great! Did you shoot this in 1080i, 24 p w/ cine V?
Thanks!

this is a PAL version HVX so 25P but at 1080p. I use my own Scene file setup for how I like. I often prefer to shoot in 720PN.
