@RestlessSauron I agree… I always do my best to respect all forms of art, but there is what I like and what I do not like, and I definitely like Schubert… Many years ago I read that when you listen to Schubert, life seems easier and more beautiful. This music improves my mood, and it makes me a better and happier person, it reconciles me with this world.

I never particularly liked music by Schubert, but Richter is a wonder in communicating it. This is the kind of music his father, an ethnic German (executed because of false allegations), was so fond of. So Richter regularly played such music - on his father's birthday. Beautiful.
