I've seen this movie so many times, Jim did what he said he wanted most: his portrayal was so outstanding that I believe everytime he is Christ. I feel what Jesus did for us and everytime I watch this movie I cry. Jesus died for everyone of us and if nothing else is said about this movie or the bible take this important message: Jesus Christ was tortured and killed, leading a sinless life, so that we may all come to live in that beautiful promise land. I love you Jesus and thanks for loving us.

When I saw his work in Count of Monte Christo. The betrayal, wrongly suffering, there were certain images that were Christ-like. At that moment I thought he'd be great in playing that role. He's a great actor, and evidently a great person.

@SIXTHS3AL I agree you get usually get a feeling from actors even though often they are acting at all times but I still feel he really believed in the work he did for this feel and I know after seeing it that I felt it! God bless people like him and more more of us take his example and not be ashamed of Jesus Christ and thankful for his sacrifice which he made for us. The love and peace which only his gospel brings, I know personally without Jesus Christ my life would have no meaning.

@crumbleface I agree and I think you will find the more the world falls away from morality, integrity and the teachings of Jesus Christ, the more we need to remember how much it matters what each one of us says and does. It does matter, there are many wonderful people in the world today yet but are lost. Thank God for Jesus Christ and His example and gospel which are more important and needed today than ever before in human history.

Just because you aren't convinced that Jesus is the Son of God, doesn't mean you hate Him. He was a preacher who taught love and compassion and died passively for his beliefs. What is there to hate? It bothers me when people assume that nonbelievers automatically hate Jesus.

I just love this movie. Jim is such a genuine and devoted actor. well done. This is a piercing movie. Every time i watch it I can't help but cry. Mel Gibson acheived his goal. I truly start to reflect on my religion and life. I appreciate this movie emensely

Caviezel said something incredibly important. Something that I can relate to myself having not been a Christian for most of my life. We do not want to see Jesus being whipped . We want to turn away, but he gave himself to us because of our sins. It is only when I understood that that I could understand the significance of the cross and of Jesus.

@fkanga Well even the Father turned his face from Jesus, and Jesus said, "Father why hast thou forsaken me?" That was truly painful for Jesus, but he took that pain so we wouldn't have to because, we were the ones who deserved to be forsaken. It is hard to watch, but we must remember what he has done for us and give him the glory! AMEN..

Thank you! I thought so too, something you just don't see in the 'entertainment business' had to post it to give some interesting insights into something that Hollywood was very against yet did extremely well at the box office.

I would think they would take note to produce more 'family and Christian-friendly" fare since there is obviously a huge untapped demand in the general public.

Well I'd have to agree personally I'd wait until they really wanted to all see it and even then I'd say at least 13 or even older. However, I'd rather see young children watching this than something else that was graphic.
