must have taken a while to get the shot right with going to the sink then the floor then your face. Nice work much apreccieation.....ok so I spelt it wrong.
Youtube don't like h2.64 for some reason. If you render with FCP don't 'Export as Quicktime Movie'. Export and use Quicktime conversion and .mov file is fine.
I think I've fallen in love with this camera. Although to get a beutiful picture style in a movie like this, you'll offcourse need a good lens. I'm gonna buy a 7D next week. I'm happy!
I am happy....lol......wait till you get the audio of a 7d...then you are gonna buy a shotgun microphone and then wait......then the autogain feature........but hey, you will eventually learn how to focus well with the 7d cause it will oblige you to to it.
he is actually shaving in the right direction and if u watch carefully u can see the mustache going back to usual.... and also on the cream as he wipes the cream disappears~
Very impressive work! I never would have guessed that it was shot on a DSLR. Just one quick question, did you do any color correction in post? Again great job!
truth truth, very few actually focused on "saying something" than just looking good.
I mean, its cool, its enjoyable (a good looking film/short/wtever) but thats only a vehicle for a message, and it is the cream, the juice, the delicious rel deal when those elements blend together in order to say something.
@HalogenBurn So True, here in NZ we just had an nation wide film competition, where teams compete to make a short film with a required character, prop and genre etc in under 48hours. Anyway at the screenings, honestly every second film was shot on a 7D, same terrible acting and no story line, but with really nice shots..by the end of it I was sick of seeing DSLR footage . Anyways not to diminish this guys film at all, because It's a beautiful little sequence.
@nzmusicvideos I just deleted my own post by a rogue mouse twitch, somehow... But yes, its a problem. Everything looks good and the same. Lofty aesthetics have always been a way for "true" photographers/cinemats to distinguish themselves from amateur photographers. It's not so easy anymore.
BEFORE purchasing this camera, or dreaming about this camera, please do yourself a favor and google darwin wiggett 7d. Read the detailed review and the comments.
Sadly, this potentially great camera was ruined by the marketing muppeteers at Canon who elected to cram too many megapixels on the small APS-C sensor, thus compromising the purity of the sensel signal.
If the 7D would have launched as a 10mp camera, the 7D would have been incredible. So close, yet so far.
hey I am new to slr photography and Im looking to get the 7D mostly for video.
I dont have much money so Im trying to find out what one lens would be the best for this camera. I am mostly looking for awesome depth of field like this but also a good all-around lens. Is there one that would be the best to get? Like I said im new to slr's so i need some guidance haha.
Any f/2.8 lens is good. But a f/1.4 is even better. An all around good lens is the Canon 50mm f/1.4 ($350.00 I think) If you're just wanting it for the video capability you might also checkout the Canon T1i. It's cheaper but still a decent camera.
If you don't want to spend much money, get the 50mm f/1.8. Any wide-tele zoom with good DOF will cost you about the same amount as the body for the 7D i guess
This is because the kit lens is cheap. There's a reason that the 24-70mm f2.8 and the 24-105mm and 70-200mm 2.8 are between 1300 and 2000. They are GREAT lenses that will last you a long time. (unfortunately, with the 7D, they become longer than you think: 24mm=38mm crop frame)
Full frame means that the frame is equivalent to a 35mm piece of film. a 50mm lens=50mm. On a crop frame camera, the sensor covers a smaller area, thus "cropping" the image at a ratio of 1.6. So a 10mm lens becomes a 16mm lens, a 200mm lens becomes a 320mm lens.
Full frame is not "better", but if you're looking to do quality photos, you'll need quality lenses. They simply don't make great quality crop-frame lenses. So, while the Canon FF line will fit on a CF camera, the frame is "cropped"
it depends on what you want if you want a full frame then the 5dmk2 is what you need. this is meant for sports/wildlife but can be used as well for landscape portraits ect.
Hi profeta!! i was looking for a good camera to buy!! .. But ... Someone said me that canon 500d is not a good camera because she has too mani MPXL (15) condensed in a very small sensor 22.3 x 14.9 mm. But .... I notice that this beautiful camera Canon 7D has 18 Mpxl in the same sensor dimension!! 22.3 x 14.9 mm!! so .... it shoul be a great problems because there is too rumor? Excuse my bad english :(

where is the difference between the full frame mark II and the 7D ? I mean.. the full frame has more pixels in the width ?

Full frame means that the frame is equivalent to a 35mm piece of film. a 50mm lens=50mm. On a crop frame camera, the sensor covers a smaller area, thus "cropping" the image at a ratio of 1.6. So a 10mm lens becomes a 16mm lens, a 200mm lens becomes a 320mm lens.
