Historians also dispute the fact that he actually went deep into Turkish controled lands, and got captured , they do not think that he was captured at all. some historian also think that he was gay, and had an Arab Shik male lover.
@nordenK actually the Gay rumour was a result of a smear campaign against him a typical tactic employed to discredit people gaining influence, especially in the Middle East. There has never been any proof of that other than allegations. Rumours harm people’s reputations. Its true he may not be Circassian, but then again look at Boris the Circassian London mayor, there is no proof that he is not Circassian either. Presumption doesn’t = facts
