Sad day for the City of Wayne, First of all our prayers go out to the families of the victims. My parents ran the book store that was between the original Franks and the IGA. Also if you would turn around in the parking lot you would see where our old home used to stand. (Now the DQ parking lot). I guess its true. You can never go home again. It is ironic to note the IGA (then Century Market) was destroyed by fire in the 60's.
Yup, I remember Northside Pharmacy and Washington school well. I live straight down Christine off of Wallace St and we would play baseball behind Washington school.
I remember that. I used to buy my baseball cards there on my way home from Washington Elementary School across the street. Between Wild Bill's Party Store, that store, and Northside Pharmacy around the corner, they got a lot of my pocket change.
